"And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful."
Ya Allah, cleanse our hearts, thoughts, intentions, and actions so that You, O Allah, may be pleased with us
Those who guide someone to the path of Allah (SWT) are better than the world and everything in it.
— Hubabah
"Do not think that pleasure in this dunya is measured by wealth, beauty, status, many children, ageless youth, intelligence, always being healthy, never being sick, or fame. True happiness in this dunya is when we are safe from sin."
— Hubabah
It is said that anyone who harbors even a tiny bit of arrogance in their heart will be unable to smell the fragrance of paradise.
Syeikh Abu Bakar bin Salim mentioned that if someone feels superior to just one person, they have a significant amount of arrogance in their heart. If a person feels superior to two or three people, then the level of arrogance in their heart is even greater.
— Hubabah Umm Salim
Happiness is found in not committing sins. It means that our actions are free from wrongdoing, our hearts are pure and free from diseases of the heart, and we spend our nights in devotion/ obedience and without sin. This constitutes true and genuine happiness.
— Hubabah
When somebody does a crime / does something thats against the heart, against the soul, then that actually affects the human being to the degree that they will go into a state of spiritual agitation. And they will use many ways to cover this up. This is what kufar is, its covering up. They will use alcohol, drugs, they will use all seeking power/ seeking wealth seeking fame..all of these ways to try to basically go into a state of heedlessness, into a state of subermerging into the world that makes us forget about our essential nature, makes us forget about our hearts. So ppl become being cut off from the heart. The more cut off from the heart, the sicker the heart gets. Bc the heart needs nourishment. Heedlessness is basically starving the spiritual heart.
When you go into a state of lack of awareness of Allah, and of your ultimate concern which is the akhirah, the infinite world in relation to the finite world that we are only in this world for temporary period. When you look at the infinite in relation to the finite world, suddenly your concerns become focused on the infinite world and not on the finite world. And yet when somebody's completely immersed in the finite world Believing that they will be here forever?? Believing that they will not be taken to account for their actions, that this action itself ultimately leads to the spiritual death of the heart.
