Rick becoming the Pissmaster follows the same arc as his backstory: he starts to give up, gets a sudden burst of inspiration and builds technology so that he can accomplish something for his or Pissmaster's daughter. He didn't step into Pissmaster's shoes as much as he just stepped into his own. The only difference is that one arc was about vengeance while the other was about heroics.

It's so bittersweet how when young Rick C-137 finalized his portal tech, he got his camping supplies all together and took that big first step into the unknown... Ultimately yes, he was looking for the guy who killed his family, but there were snippets of him genuinely enjoying exploring the multiverse. Part of that still exists in him now and we get to see it sometimes.

a beth x space beth conversation that ended up making me do a 10 page colour comic.

i think the only person space beth would ever talk 2 about their insecurities over rick's perceived choice would be beth, sure she's is over it but i dont think she ever got anyone to talk 2 anyone about it who'd REALLY get it so this is finally some catharsis for her.

also this comic finally made me actually understand how sunsets work????????
