Cam sat in silence for a moment before mumbling a little bit. “I didn’t know what to think. I put my trust in her but I always have a little voice in my head telling me to be careful. To not get attached. I can’t help being so clingy, and if what Tabi said was true, then I must be a blind man to stay with her. But if I leave it’ll hurt her, and that’s the opposite of what I want. Again, I still care about her a lot.”

“Oh! I’d say we’re good friends! Don’t know if he would say the same thing but eh! He’s a friend of the Dearests as well,” Bee spoke with enthusiasm. It seems that was a good question to ask. Perhaps he’d enjoy talking about Doc?

“Sometimes the music gets too loud in the streets and then Doc has to deal with me losing my voice because of how loud we have to speak to each other!”

Altair stopped and hopped back a few televisions to one near who'd spoken, the dating sim music softly playing in the background as the student appeared inside the tv screen, "hello there, I heard you speak of the music that blared in the streets. May I ask why that happens?"

Bee turned towards Altair with a bright expression. “Ah, that’s just people partaking in rap battles and other things! Most of those things are just people being petty and wanting to fight me but eh-!” He shrugged, shifting in place and leaning on one leg more than the other.

"hm, I've never-" The student stopped mid-sentence as gold got a good look at Bee, beginning to examine him with blue eyes that slowly turned a glowy yellow color..

Gold's hands then pressed up against the screen as they moved their face closer towards it, eyebrows furrowing with confusion as they muttered, "....no that's not..but...you seem so familiar..."

He tilted his head in confusion. “I look familiar-? Maybe you’ve seen someone else with bright blue hair and a backwards cap!” He nervously chuckled. He didn’t recognize Altair in the slightest, so gold thinking he looked familiar made him antsy. What if gold was someone he battled—? Sure he battled lots of people but he didn’t like not remembering those he rapped with.

..after seconds, a sigh escaped Altair's lips before it responded, "no, I haven't, I'm just...th-this is a common occurrence. I tend to think I recognize someone despite not ever meeting or... seeing someone similar to them before.." their eyes had just turned back to it's original color as star's head dropped in embarrassment, hands sliding down to ⭐'s sides.

Another moment of silence passed before it looked back up and added "My sincerest apologies." in a very soft voice. Poor guy..

“Hey, it’s alright! I’m just glad you’re not trying to maul me or something—!” Bee let out yet another antsy chuckle. Life in the city meant people he didn’t know having a bone to pick with him for dating some rich guy’s daughter. They were always on edge even when genuinely happy around certain people.

“Cheer up bud. How bout I introduce myself.. I’m Cam! Or ‘Boyfriend.XML Purest’ ! Many people call me Bee tho! No clue why either,” he gave Altair a thumbs up and a cheeky smile.

A smile appeared onto gold's face, quite pleased with being able to meet someone nice for once, "You may call me Altair.." Star pushed their hand through the screen until it stopped at the wrist, holding it out into a handshake.

Sparkles appeared beside Altair's head as their smile widened, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cam."

His eyes sparkled at the way Altair’s hand popped out the screen. “You can come out the screen!” It was more of a exclamation rather than a question but nevertheless it excited Cam. He was easily excited. He shook their hand with a wide grin on his features. ”Pleasure’s all mine, Altair! You’re pretty neato.”

The pixelated adolescent let out a cheerful laugh, a pink blush spreading onto their cheeks. "thank you!" They clasped onto the rim of the tv with one hand, doing the same with the other after retreating it from Bee's, "and yeah, though I can only come out so far, down to my wrist to be exact."

Altair closed ⭐'s eyes, speaking with a surprisingly neutral tone despite their next words, "any further than that will cause a terrible sensation to shoot through my body, similar to being cut with glass." a pause, "and being burnt."

“Oh geez- sorry to hear that Al..” he paused before continuing to ask “Am I allowed to call ya Al? I don’t know if I need to add any formalities of the sort,” he rambled a bit, tapping his thumbs together.

Bee was quite cautious when it came to people’s name preferences, seeing that the Dearests had lots of coverups involved with their public appearances. He wanted to be sure he could relax a bit before completely letting loose.

"of course! I'll allow you to call me Al, no formalities needed." ⭐ really loved being called nicknames. There wasn't any specific reason why, they just.. always had a thing for them!

"and it's truly alright, didn't do much to me anyways." Altair gave Bee a reassuring smile, but then got to thinking, "....well except for this." gold then brought down one of their sleeves to reveal an area on star's arm.. glitching out.

It constantly flashed between an un-pixelated arm and static. If you watched very closely, it would also switch to a blue flame, though that would only last a split second. Quite a nasty "wound"..

He sucked in his breath looking at the injury. “Wish I could help ya with that.. I kinda feel a bit useless over here y’know— I’m used to helping people with hurt n’ stuff,” there he was rambling again. Cam had a habit of doing that. Then he went quiet for a moment.

“What’s it like in there..? The television, I mean,” he inquired, slightly batting his ‘lashes’ out of curiosity. Altair was different than who he usually talked with, aside from someone else who was threateningly similar, but oh so different to Cam. The guy he remembered was less nice and simply wanted to hook up with Valentine *his girlfriend.*
