i love how macdennis is basically just "guy with a psychological need to manipulate people" and "guy with a psychological need to be manipulated." they would find each other in every universe

here's my vision: despite being the main proponent of the "no gay shit" rule, dennis underestimated how much he would actually love for mac to blow him like usual tonight -- and mac is dangerously close to figuring out how to wield that power.

meanwhile, charlie attempts to corner frank and convince him that what they have works, and frank isn't going to be happy with some random TV woman. several tense confrontations about the nature of their relationship later, frank breaks down and admits that he's been missing charlie bad but doesn't know what it means or if he could even give this thing between them a real shot, especially now that it's out in the open. charlie begs him to try.

in the bathroom, another clumsy seduction ploy from mac results in another hushed blow-job argument, but this time dennis folds. mac happily gets to his knees and to work while dennis leans against the sink.

they freeze when they hear frank & charlie enter the bedroom, but the voices are too muffled through the door to eavesdrop. trapped and more than a little excited by the circumstances, dennis lets mac continue while they wait for the coast to be clear.

the bathroom door suddenly creaks open on its own, as it sometimes does due to crooked hinges and a weak latch. dennis looks up from getting his dick sucked by mac to see frank on the edge of the bed getting his dick sucked by charlie. they make eye contact and experience simultaneous, crushing ego deaths: frank because he's forced to confront the gap between the man he wants to be and the man he is, and dennis because he realizes he has already become his father.

they both pass out and wake up with only spotty memories of the night before.
