This is my city. These are the streets I used to love & explore. Always fascinated with its history and beauty. My family lives here; this is the city that's raising my siblings. It's a terrifying thought to realize somewhere you called home, can also be home to so much evil and hate. But despite how much it pains me I can't help to see the blessing in this tragedy. Reports say that the shooter sat in the Church from some time before he started shooting. Those men and women were surrounded by danger, but more importantly were in His presence. They lost their lives with their eyes on God and I have to trust that's the best thing. We as a Black community are being executed. We are being hunted and murdered by a country that has supposedly called us equal. However, God is bigger than the evil that faces us. God is bigger than this tragedy. God is bigger than #CharlestonPoliceDept. & God is bigger than you, #DylannRoof. We as a community are undoubtedly being challenged. Romans 8:28 says "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Regardless of how much they try to tear us down, I have no doubt that we are being called for a higher purpose. Though surrounded by hate, evil, and danger; let us not forget to keep our eyes on Him. #PrayForCharleston #RIPWanza
