Hey everyone! I know it has been a long time since I've posted any new artwork. I have decided to move away from posting on Tumblr and have started up an Instagram account. I'll be posting everything you have loved from this account and more new pieces! Thank you for all of the support you have given me on this platform. If you'd like to continue to be part of my art journey, go follow @courtneyjacksonart on Instagram. ❤️

Process of Palette
I created this portrait using acrylic paint applied with a palette knife. The use of the palette knife allowed me to have a looser hand when applying the paint. I scraped the paint on using the palette knife to create each individual layer. Each layer of paint served to add more depth and dimension to the piece, with the total number of layers around 10.
Time to complete: 35 hours
