Layered shadows scratched in black,
Something slithering along my back.
A bite, some blood, that's all it takes,
To highlight the result of my mistakes.
Hushed lies that sound like a hiss, Closed eyes as you lean in to kiss, Why did it have to happen like this, Your heart has slithered into an abyss.
A cacophony made from the oddest sounds, Goes and on until a headache pounds. If you try to dance to such a random beat, You will find you are dancing with two left feet. So the next time you hear such a cacophony, Stuff both ears safely, perhaps with broccoli?
A Silly Slither:
I wish I could slither,
Like a snake upon a river,
I wish I could glide,
Like a surfer at high tide,

Lamp you shine so bright
