AAA, the long-sought 11/16 Tokyo Dome concert has been decided. “The biggest first experience”, says Nishijima Takahiro
With the final performance in Miyagi Sekisui Heim Super Arena of the nationwide arena tour “AAA ARENA TOUR 2016 -LEAP OVER-” on the 24th of the 7-member co-ed dance & vocal group, AAA’s Tokyo Dome concert on November 16 has been announced. It’ll be their first LIVE in the said place since their CD debut.
During the encore, the Leader Urata Naoya cut in, “we have an announcement to make”, and the text “Tokyo Dome performance has been decided!” was displayed on the screen. Following the Kyocera Dome Osaka performances on November 12 & 13, the long-sought 11/16 Tokyo Dome concert has been decided.
“It already makes me happy with just the 2 days in Kyocera Dome. I think this being added is all thanks to everyone who always supports us! Thank you very much!”, “everyone, please expect and wait for it!”, says Urata to fans. Members’ comments: ▽ Urata Naoya
When I heard about standing in the stage I dreamed of, the Tokyo Dome, I felt happy because I’m able to prove once again that with feelings of gratitude and without giving up, dreams do come true!
With the feeling in my heart that it is not something ordinary to stand in the stage many times with everyone, first of all, I myself will be going in full blast and enjoy myself, and with my best smile, I hope to send power to everyone who will come.
▽ Nishijima Takahiro
This venue is long-referred to as “LIVE era” where lots of artists do their LIVE and which is not often available, so I’m very happy that AAA will be able to be in Tokyo Dome. In order to share a wonderful time with all the fans, we’ll prepare for it properly! It is the biggest “first experience” in AAA’s 11 years of activities, so I want to have a proper taste of it.
▽ Uno Misako
It’s a big stage that we’ve been longing for a long time. I thought we won’t reach it. I’m grateful to all the fans who created a new scenery for us, and in order to expect more in AAA’s future from now on too, we’ll have the best and biggest LIVE, creating an unknown entartainment that is AAA-like.
▽ Hidaka Mitsuhiro
Although it means that we come to grips with the country’s largest venue, I want to be just like always, if I were to say more, just like when we were in the streets, I want to challenge it with the same feelings. Doing something bigger might mean the production will increase, but even if the audience were a single person, or may it be 50,000, the place is created with the only thought of hoping “everyone” of them to go home happy.
▽ Atae Shinjiro
Since it’s our first dome, generally, I want to have fun!! I am more excited than I am nervous!! At any rate, I want to make the day itself a happy day!
▽ Sueyoshi Shuta
Of course, being able to do it in dome makes me happy, and I think what led us here are the people who were undeniably involved, friends, and all the fans who give their support. I want to make a stage that will make everyone who brought us here happy. Since I think there are many things that can only be done in a dome, it will be nice if we can make interesting things as we discuss them.
▽ Ito Chiaki
Since we couldn’t do it during our 10th year anniversary, honestly, I thought we can no longer have a LIVE in a dome. So I was really happy when it was decided, and the feeling of gratitude to everyone who brought us up to here really became big. I want to put my fighting spirit and do my best that will make all the fans who support us say, “it’s the best day!”

AAA - NEW <3
AAA’s “evolution”… when we say 11th year’s “new stage”? 「Unknown World」「Brand New Circumstances」 modelpress interview
― Please tell us the evolution and growth of AAA as a group that has run for 10 years. Urata Naoya: I think the way of doing our LIVE has changed. Even our new song this time did; we were able to relax, or perhaps I should say, if we’re able to have fun, then our fans are able to have just as fun. The things that have been in my mind were like, “should I do this, aahhh, I should”, but gently, I’ve let the tension out of my shoulders, and felt like it’ll be fine to just enjoy this space. Such feeling has changed. Uno Misako: we have challenged a variety of music for 10 years, but in order for us to release singles for seven consecutive months, we had to raise the speed in a short period of time; trying a new song didn’t simply mean increasing our songs at once, I think it’s the best method that allowed us to level up. With seven songs, seven steps, releasing “Aishiteru no ni, Aisenai” was hard but because we were able to concentrate and make it, we have given time to create this kind of new song this time. I think AAA has greatly evolved in the sense that we are able to touch various kinds of music. Hidaka Mitsuhiro: I think it’s about the theme park AAA has done last year. We sung both the old and new songs in the center stage, and finally, we moved with gorgeous lights and entertained in the wind the people who came to see us despite not knowing a single song. Although it’s a challenge thought by everyone, the theme park was done as AAA’s coping mechanism. During last year’s nationwide tour, I’m sure it’s because we have found the specific differences that lie ahead that we were able to have the feeling of looking at the same path. With our 9th and 10th years having the same number of days, stronger production has done so much more on the arena’s structure, I guess I could see something that continues. And so in a nutshell, we have done a theme park. And then, there’s also the outdoor live as the extension. Nishijima Takahiro: I think everything is linked together. I think the degree of response as the fans who go to see our LIVES increase = increase in the amount of production. There was a talk about the theme park, and that’s exactly the case, and we were able to raise the amusement, and we did it with the thought of not making it boring. Overall, I think it has become a synergy. Atae Shinjiro: rather than doing the things we’d like to do, I think the LIVE’s production, music, and such were selected by properly thinking about AAA. Rather than our personal hobbies, the concept has become like, “if we say AAA, it’ll be good this way”.
Sueyoshi Shuta: Although I honestly think there isn’t a major change, I think we’re changing little by little as we get older each passing day. I think it’s part of our growth that we’re able to put our own will.
Ito Chiaki: Rather than AAA as a 7-member unit, I think it’s a year of growth for the whole team that is involved in AAA; when we were allowed to have a lot of LIVES last year, although we actually had little problems, we were able to resolve them without escaping. That wasn’t just the seven of us, it includes the staffs, and the entire team; there are many things we can’t do without them, and having able to overcome the problems, there really is a sense of accomplishment.
