“Wow…” he said as soon as she opened the door. “I was expecting to catch you in your pajamas, but here you are, all hot and stuff.” He smiled and handed her the flowers, leaning in to peck her lips. “Kind of. There’s more, though.” he snatched a few cards out of his pocket. “So… This is a few reasons why you should go to prom, and I know you don’t wanna go, but I made this so you’d think about all the fun stuff you’d miss,” he coughed, uncomfortable. “Reason number one, you’re a queen nominee which means you can actually win this thing and brag about it to Karen, she’d die.” he daydreamed for a moment, thinking about Karen angry for losing her damn crown. He snapped out of it three seconds later, focusing on what he came here to do. “Reason number two, we can literally dance through the whole night. I’ve got some skills, babe.” He laughed as he did the shimmy. “I’d probably embarrass you, but you get to see Derek Scott dancing like an idiot. By the way, seeing Derek dancing like an idiot is the reason number three.” he took a deep breath. “I could go on and on about this, so I’m just gonna jump right to reason fifty. You should go to prom because I want you to be there, as my prom date. Prom wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t there. So, Claire Adams, will you go to the prom with me?”
