this giveaway is slightly complicated, so please stick with me, it might be worth it, i swear. 

PRIZES: 

first -- full set of your first choice of genes: 1 primary, 1 secondary, 1 tertiary

second -- full set of genes, second picks

third -- two gene scrolls, whichever are available in your highest choices

fourth through eighth: one gene scroll, in order of winning vs preference

4.) winners will be picked through a random.com list generator. giveaway ends friday, the 18th of april, whenever i get off work probably. if you already bred your progens, this means that they should be close to getting off the nest and you'll be able to use the genes on them in short order.

augh so i've been planning a sort of "gene your progen" newbie giveaway for next week and so i was trying to get one of all of the treasure genes before rollover while plague still had dominance but of course this week has been the week where i worked 70+ hours and i haven't had any good chance to really grind the coli or anything so 9_9 

i got all of 'em except speckle/freckle and those aren't really as popular so i don't feel too bad hahah (i'm actually kind of impressed, i had all of the tert genes lying around because i like to preview them on all my dragons and stuff but wow i just bought scrolls of clown, tiger, stripes, seraph, & eyespots in like two days)

i dunno about advice, other than that if you weren't already aware about the flight//eyecolor coordination, look into that before you choose your flight! i was definitely having a hard time with the flights but the eye color of plague kind of cinched it for me, since at the time i figured i'd be breeding primarily black/red dragons 

(joke there is on me, as now i have a RIDICULOUS SHIT TON of white & white/gold dragons that i keep having to ship off to my friend's light lair or someone's random ice lair to get the looks i want) 

man i don't even know i think there are so many cool combos out there and fr has so many colors that there's always something to discover! my very most recent combos that i've been looking into have been black/red/yellow range dragons or white/red/yellow range dragons because dang, very dashing, striking combos. 

favorite dragon would have to be skydancers if i'm going by the number in my lair, tho coatls and spirals are a close second and i'm inordinately attached to faes and tundras as well. 

i highly recommend at least some level of character developing if you're into that, as that's def one of the main thing that has made the site really long-term fun for me! i don't even really rp or stuff, but i like to talk to people about my dragons and hear about theirs anyway, so i think it's a pretty valuable thought investment.  but everyone plays the game a different way so y'know whatever works for you!! <3

I always have this nagging thought…what if all this trouble isn’t worth it and the babies end up being exalt fodder?

I want to try to make an obs/obs/green range pair with irishim/circ - to show the redeeming, wondrous qualities of obs irishim. We’re talking seafoam all the way to spring, no holds barred.

I mean, have you even *seen* obs obs swamp or forest irishimcirc? It is SO subtle. It’s just gorgeous.

I’ve thought about making them a crackle/circ pair, but I guess I’ll have to see.

so i bought this coatlbab right bc he is adorbs right

and i've been looking for a mate for him, double-obsidian mandatory, tert willing to go from gold-swamp with gold-banana preferred

so far the only on-sale thing i've found is this girl

who.... has potential, but i think the person selling her is reselling her, which, like, i don't have a particular problem with in theory but i find that the idea of it irks me when it comes to buying this creature, esp when they're asking 100k for it. :/ 

like, yeah, really pretty dragon, really choice colors, but i can't conscience spending more than 75k or so if i'm gonna have to coatl her as well. ughhhhh. i would easily go up to 250k for a coatl in colors mentioned, but they seem to be few and far between. cries.
