A world full of bedazling nude girls. Kyoza30 is a lucky, lucky guy. He seems to be surrounded by bedazzling beauties that frolic naked wherever he is.
why
why does terrence mckenna’s voice make me want to kill myself
cool stuff, bryant’s translation of the yoga sutras was my first introduction of yoga
“in the text before patanjali and patanjali, when we see this term yoga being used - and the yogi, the one who does this yoga - it refers to this kind of radical withdrawing of the world... and slowly close down the external; close down perceptions and the mechanisms of the mind.”
talking about karma yoga: “what makes it karma is you have to do your duty with no desire, no attachment to the world.”

Rare “Modern Gothic/Stick Style” Victorian west side Anderson, IN by John S. Via Flickr: Unique house design which suggests it was originally built in the Modern Gothic or “Eastlake” style (with some “Stick” details as well) Adding to the complex arrangement is a turn of the last century double-galleried porch its roof now missing. I think the restorers are on the right track to remove the later porch but if they had a period photo or illustration showing what an original porch looked like it would be helpful. Unusual but nice colors as well. This house was on the brink of oblivion so great to see it coming back.
I have a question that may sound ignorant. Why is Sisyphus happy at the end of Camus Myth of Sisyphus, considering everything he does is absurd,I know that his fate belongs to him,but I still don't get it. Why must we imagine Sisyphus happy?
You need to imagine him happy or you’ll be sad. You don’t want to be sad, do you? Sisyphus is happy because at least he knows what’s happening in the world, at least he’s completed the puzzle that tells him the world is meaningless. He accepts his fate, no matter how shitty it is (rolling that rock up a hill for an eternity). As long as he accepts his fate and we accept ours, we can be happy.
He knows what he’s doing is absurd/meaningless but he accepts that. He internally accepts it so he can be internally happy. He doesn’t need any external praise or justification for his pointless task and once he frees himself from that bigger picture, he feels free and he can be happy.
