I have been slacking…
I am sorry i have been slacking i have had some personal things going on.. Clare started her heat on friday and im glad she did that way when i can get her spayed i can inform when her last heat was. if i cant get everything she needs done medical wise at once i am going to make sure she gets spayed first thing so we can reduce the risk of pyo. last thing i want is for her to get a uterine infection. ill be updating very soon
6/30/22 Clare had a long day
So i posted the video of the most beautiful assistant helping put our pool up. she was debating on getting in or not lol we took a nice long walk and she got tons of loving from so many people…. this is all for now youngest kiddo is crabby n needs to sleep ill be back to finish
So today i took Clare and my boys for a nice walk. we get back and i had the hose out well this dog thought it would be fun to jump and play in the water then roll in the sandbox. yep wasnt funny for me lol but we all had alot of fun.

Clare's relationship with my sons part 1
I noticed the day I got her that she became overly attached to my 8 yr old son and my 1 yr old son but couldnt figure out why.... Then it hit me my boys were her babies. Since when I got her she was just torn away from her puppies she attached to my boys. I loved it so much, she had to sleep with the boys every night and not just that she had to be physically touching one of them. Usually it was the 1 yr old she slept with because he would have to stick his hand out and he would rub her neck until he fell asleep. It broke my heart to know she was torn from those pups but it melted my heart that she has the connection she does with my sons. We take her with us when we do everything and its hilarious because most people look at her with the jacked up under bite she has, the cut ears, the muscles she has, and being just 18 inches tall. People stay far away and will cross the street to get away when were walking her. But little do they know she doesnt bark at anything at all. Not even any type of animals the only time you hear her is when you come home and shes so excited but her voice sounds terrible from vocal cord damage she got. If I ask Clare where are your babies? she will run and find one of the boys turn and look at me then run and find the other one. This is a dog that is a mommy not just a mommy to puppies but a mommy to everything and everyone. She has made my whole family complete and I could not be happier at all. ESP with the hell she went thru the 4 yrs shes been alive. Now she gets to know what its like to be the big baby and get spoiled.
Clare Part 6
So at this point other things were a little more important over her eyes. So the blueish cloudy color people that are blind can have or people losing sight has, that is what her eyes looked like. I could not even tell you what color her eyes were at all. So my friend and I actually used her own serum for antibodies so we drew her blood and spun it down. Took the serum off of that and it was used as eye drops one drop twice a day. Within one week the true colors showed, I got to see my baby girls beautiful big brown eyes. We had no idea what the color of her eyes were until this point. We didnt have anything to lose since she was running into things here and there plus would get startled a little easier. Now she is doing great with the cherry eye she has in both eyes I would love to get those repaired but I do not want to keep having her under anesthesia for issues. So now we have a dog who can see so much better and this dog listens so well. We have healed kennel sores, nipples healed and at this point they have retracted a little bit so they dont drag so much. Theyre about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the ground. I know every single little lump bump and scar my dogs have. This sweet baby had so many C-Sections from being bred she has a hernia that is a little bigger then a golf ball. The breeder made sure that I verbally agreed to one thing, I would never breed her again. Uhm, for real like I would breed a dog that had over 60 pups and every single heat she had pups. I would never ever. She knows she is safe here and she knows its a new life.

Clare part5
So at this point we were still calling her Abby which is the name she knew for her whole life. I did not plan to change it since she knew it. Once I seen everything this poor dog has gone thru I said she is getting a new name. The name she had is going to stay in the past just like what happen to her. That's when I told my son start thinking of names. He came up with Clare and it was perfect. She now is named Clare Bear. So she has her ears cropped and I was cleaning her ears. I got the nasty smell and realized yep that is totally yeast. So we get those ears checked and it was a yeast infection. Clare was looked at and then I was looked at and told," these are ears that were not professionally cropped. This was done with a straight blade and if you look close here and here you can see the person hesitated plus her ears are not even one is shorter then the other." At this time I lost my shit I was crying and cussing left and right. It took everything out of me not to call this person and go off. But I know street justice will get him. So since my younger son is 1 I have some shirts I no longer fit in as i was 190lbs and not 125lbs anymore. I have a cricut machine and I went to making Clare shirts to hold her nipples up. So I was using my old shirts then decorating them and using zip ties to make them tight enough to hold her nipples up. She loved wearing clothes when we left the house because well lets me honest since she spent 4 years in a cage I took her everywhere with me. If it wasn't dog friendly then we did not go. I ended up texting the breeder asking when her last litter was since the vet said it wasnt long ago. The last litter was 2 months before I got her so it all made sense.
Clare part 4
So here we are at home and I get my younger son to sleep so it is myself and my 8 year old sitting in the floor with this poor dog. I got the nail clippers out thinking it may be a battle and may need to wait until the next day when my friend comes so he can help me. No, she had other plans she sat there and had not one issue with me cutting her nails that were growing into her pads. I cleaned her kennel sores and the open sores of her nipples and we got in the bed to cuddle. She sat there looking not knowing what was happening. We called her in the bed and she finally jumped up got between my oldest son and I. At that moment she knew she was home and safe when I heard her let out the biggest sigh ever. She slept all night and didn't move a muscle. She finally got a good night of sleep in a bed rather then the cage she was in for 4 years. I woke up and made her a bowl of food which was her new dog food mixed with a high protein wet food. This dog in 12 hours learned she was safe and with people who already love her more then she knows. This time I realize there is something not right when she was drinking. I opened her mouth and to my surprise she not only has a couple rotten teeth but she is missing part of her tongue. WHAT THE FUCK!!!! Missing part of her tongue and then being only 4 yrs old having that many rotten teeth. I cried for her. She slowly started meeting my other 2 dogs on day 3. They were able to sniff one another under the door then after a few days I kept the door open but had baby gates up so they could see one another. I moved one of the baby gates and they were now face to face at the baby gate. It took me 2 weeks to slowly introduce them because I knew it had to work. If it didn't work this dog wasn't going back to this person and she sure wasn't going to a shelter ever. I was so happy when I started letting them play 1 on 1 for about 10 mins at a time so no one got over stimulated. They all get along so well its amazing. Its like they knew she had to stay and they knew she went thru hell.
The day I got Clare part 3
I keep looking and I start to see kennel sores on her legs and paws that looked painful. Then I see she is yellowish when her fur should be white, she smelled so bad, her nails were overgrown and the longer she sat on my sons lap we started seeing blood soaking into his pants. We got home and I got her in the house so I could take a good close look at her. I was a Vet Tech student plus managed a rescue for 3 years so I knew what I was looking for and what I was looking at. She was scared to jump on my bed so I picked her up put her on my bed and cuddled up with her for a few to help her relax. In about 15 mins I noticed my blanket had a good amount of blood on it. So I rolled her over and the site I seen I cried. Her nipples hung down about 4 inches if not more and were busted open and bleeding. When she walked her nipples would drag and she would step on them. It broke my heart. So I got supplies and started cleaning her nipples up and started to treat her kennel sores. I wanted to give her a bath right away but I wanted her to decompress a little bit and kind of heal before I did anything to her. I decided it was time for a trip to Petco so off we went. When I walked in I was given dirty looks like I was the one who did this to her. I asked for some help and got the best person ever. Her name was Tiffany and she was the dog trainer there. She thankfully did not have a class so she helped me with everything. We started out with Collar and Leash. Yes I got her pink with rhinestones because shes a beautiful baby and deserves to be beautiful. With her bones showing and being underweight we found a food with high protein and also a wet food also to mix in it. Here started the challenge, we live in a state that gets a good amount of snow and her nipples being walked on and dragged in the snow wasnt going to happen. So we started shopping for clothes for her that would help hold her nipples up or at least most of them since we not all could stay up in doggy clothes. We went to the check out after letting her pick out toys and $400 later we left the store and headed home.
Part 2
So Friday comes along and I send a text to the breeder and say, " Hey are we still on for 6:00pm for me to come and get Abby (this wasnt her name but I am calling her that so no information of the breeder is out there). I get a response that he is not home but his brother is and I can go pick her up. Myself and my 8 yr old son were so excited we jumped in the car and drove 30 minutes to the house she was at. I see the guy bring this little dog ( I say little because i have 85lb pitbulls at home and this little girl was 18'' tall and about 50lbs). She was on a slip lead leash with no collar on at all. He was dragging her out to the street where I was standing. I kneel down and say hi beautiful baby look how pretty you are... Are you ready to come be spoiled with us. She looked so scared. I tell the guy thank you and he walks away as Abby and I are walking to my car. She sees my son sitting in the front seat and my youngest son in his car seat and she jumps right in and sits on my older sons lap then doesn't move. I get in put my car in drive and were gone. While I am driving I start looking over her. She has cherry eye in both eyes (for those who dont know its a dogs 3rd eye lid that gets inflamed and looks painful but vets have said its not painful as far as they know its just annoying). **** One important detail I forgot in part one is he was getting rid of her beacuse she was going blind. Guess someone doesnt have use for a blind dog when they got their moneys worth out of them****
How I got Clare the overbred dog Part 1
This starts back 2 years ago when I became friends with this American Bully breeder on facebook. I am a rescue person but I wont put down responsible breeders if things are done right. I spoke with this breeder in late Jan early Feb and told him I was interested in getting one of his puppies. I was told because he knew I was a good person and a great dog person he would have no problem with me getting one of his dogs and as a matter of fact he said he would only charge me a fraction of what they go for. I was so excited to get the dog I have always wanted. I don't know why but an American Bully was one of my favorite dogs even tho I am a huge sucker for pitbulls and currently own 2. I stayed in touch with this person and he ended up calling me asking some advice as he had a female momma dog who was going blind and he wanted a rescue to take her.... Me being me I said ill take her. I never seen a photo of her or ever met her at this point. BUT I wasn't going to let her go into a rescue as I know personally not all rescues are good since I was a manager at one for 3 years. Later that week I got the address and went to meet up to pick up this dog that I had no clue about. I called my mom and said I am going to get this dog and she's coming to live with us but ill be doing very slow introduction of her and our 2 dogs because this has to work there is not an option of it not working. She was currently out of town so she kind of didn't have a choice lol. The breeder send me pics of her the day before I got her and I gathered an idea of what she was going to be like. In the photos she was beautiful and a little 18'' tall beast. I shared with my mom and she told me you better get her and bring her home. She had the same gut feeling as I did. I tell her I already have a day and time set up to pick her up.

So I was told by someone close to me that I should start a blog on my beautiful dog who has been thru hell in the 4 short years shes been alive. I will say that I will not be stating who the breeder was I got her from and I am not against responsible breeders as long as they do it the right way. My girl Clare was bred every single heat cycle she had and she has had over 60 puppies in just 4 years. This is her story from when I got her in Feb until currently and things that were found out thru the vet. So I would like to introduce everyone to Clare she is a 4 year old Exotic American Bully who was overbred.
