“Why am I just... not surprised at all that Alex was the one who killed me?”
Dani had tried to just stay between her room and her classrooms and the cafeteria, figuring that between the three she should be able to function just fine. But despite the constant migraines, and the overall weirdness of the school that she was just trying to avoid, she discovered that despite going on a school tour when she first arrived, she hadn’t had enough of it soak in to truly know where the library was. Walking out of the ballroom (which she had to wonder why a school had a ballroom in the first place) Dani sucked it up and decided to ask the first student that she could find. “Hi, new-ish kid here,” she said introducing herself, “How do I get to the library?”
Travis was just sitting in the hallway, flipping quickly through a new book, attempting to get as much of it as possible so he could work on actually reading it soon, when he had a little bit more time. However, hearing the question from the other student, the Texan quickly rose to his feet. “Well... I’ve only been there once and that was coming from my room... but that means.... it should be your third left and then your fourth right to reach the grand entrance. There’s also a second floor entrance and exit if you want to go up that way, you know?” He responded in his twang.

Wanda: I did decide to get my degree in art, so yes.
Wanda: Technically I painted it.
Travis: I am always so in awe of your art work... it's crazy.
Travis: You are so ridiculously talented and I am so ludicrously lucky to be going out with you.

Wanda: I just finished this for class and I cannot tell if it is too simple or not.
Wanda: What do you think?
Travis: You did that just for class?
Travis: You think it's simple?
Travis: You drew grass on the opposite bank of the coast!

“Doesn’t mean that someone else couldn’t have been bought off,” Alex suggested, “sorry, I don’t think that I can help you there. The only thing that I can tell you is that it seems everyone here’s been short on money lately.”
“Hmm... so it seems to me like possibly if we look where the money would go we might find a trail... thank you for your time.”
xi-havok:
“Creative differences and money are two completely different things,” Alex pointed out, “and I don’t think that I said anything about money, and I don’t think that anyone else really was at liberty to comment on my friendship with Felix either. Now as to why I can’t really say. You know other than the obvious mob connections. Do you think one of his father’s rivals might have sent someone here to take him out?”
“I suppose so... but to be fair, this was... rather exclusive to say the least.” Travis replied with a slight shrug of his shoulders. “Alright so last question, from me at least... Do you have any other miscellaneous information that might help with this investigation?”
Zoe was quietly pacing in the corner. She had Edith’s mental space carved out. This can’t be happening, this shouldn’t be happening. But in doing this she didn’t notice someone sneak up on her. “Can I help you?” She spat.
Crossing his arms as he approached the woman who had been his previous character’s wife, Travis made a point to tap her on the shoulder before speaking. Recoiling slightly from the words that were spat back at him, he cocked an eyebrow slightly before scribbling it in his notepad... which was just full of doodles as his power allowed him to keep all the notes he needed in his head. “Well yes actually, as the deceased’s spouse you need to answer a few questions for me. First, which hand is your dominant?”
xi-havok:
“I don’t know who told you that, but Felix is….was my best friend,” Alex corrected, “plus he was helping me finance my show. That’s what the argument was about, we were having a disagreement about something behind the scenes, and yes, we had words. But we made up a couple of days later, compromised on what we were fighting about, and everything went back to normal.”
“So all the troubles between the two of you came down to money huh? I hope you ain’t hiding anything from me because... well... you’re only hurting your own case if say... someone else told me something about your relationship to him that you haven’t. Now, do you have any information about why anyone else here might possibly want your... best friend here dead?”
xi-havok:
“Right-handed,” Alex immediately answered, holding up his cup in that hand to prove it, “There a reason behind that question?”
“I’m a PI... most of my questions have reasons behind them.” Travis replied, smirking just a bit as he replied to Alex the way that he figured Alex would reply to him. “Now... you didn’t particularly like Felix did ya? I mean... he did yell at you in public... What happened to be the crux of this disagreement between the two of you?”
insynchwithyou:
“Glad to have you here, Detective,” replied Duke, wringing his hands. “Being stuck where a murder’s taken place is giving me the creeps, yanno? So the sooner this is solved, the better.”
“Well as long as I get all of my questions out of the way, we’ll be spectacularly fine. Now... what hand do you happen to write with?” Cecil replied with a slight smile.
xi-havok:
“Right,” Alex nodded at him, “I’m Edgar, one of Felix’s best friends. I’ll help however I can.”
“Well that’s a good thing. So tell me, first of all... would you happen to be right-handed or left-handed?”
“I’m PI Cecil Ripley. You’ve probably heard of me because, well, hasn’t everybody? Anyway, I’ve been tailing Felix for a few weeks at the behest of old Frank Fontano. Frank loved Felix, yeah, and there will be hell for whoever did this, but old Frank doesn’t trust anyone. Felix seemed to really be rolling in the dough, so Frank had me out there collecting dirt on Felix’s business dealings. You may wonder how I ended up at this party. Well, I had planned to get here much earlier in the evening, disguised as a waiter. But I got caught up in another case. Missing young woman, frantic parents, you know the drill. Boy was I surprised to show up and find this scene. I’ve gotta say, there’s no way you folks should take this one to the cops. I’ve seen my share of this bootleggin’ mob lifestyle, and those guys are tight with the police. You’ll all end up as targets, embroiled in scandal, always watchin’ your backs. We better figure this one out right now. Seal the exits. We’d better get down to business. First things first: let’s take a closer look at this crime scene.”
xi-wanda:
“I have no idea who that even is,” Wanda admitted, after a second of thought, “And I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that second part.”
“She’s an actress,,, you quoted one of her movies, called Bridget Jones’s Diary... she also did a film with Tom Cruise called Jerry Maguire that culminates in a massive speech he gives. I quoted part of it.” He replied with a slight shrug. “You would find me way funnier if you had seen all the really important movies.”
xi-wanda:
“Well you know me, I tend ot freak out about things too, but I promise you do not have to do anything special, just be you,” Wanda smiled at him, “I like you just as you are.”
“Now I have to ask, how big of a Renee Zellweger fan are you?” Travis replied with a smile as he crossed his arms and looked at the woman across from him. “Because if so... we had a very very big night... but it wasn’t complete... wasn’t nearly close to being in the same vicinity as complete, because i couldn’t share it with you.”
zoe-ryan-xi:
“The night’s barely started, I can hardly begin to imagine what the night has in store.” Zoe replied, only kind of telling the truth.
“Have you gotten to speak to... that one young man yet?” Travis offered, the smile on his character’s face masking the deeper meaning behind his words.
zoe-ryan-xi:
Zoe silently raised her glass, internally chuckling at his mental joke. To hydration. “To life, Felix. To life.”
Travis nodded back at her statement, allowing his smile to return as he took a drink. “So... have you been able to have many of the conversations you were hoping to at this party so far, dear?”
zoe-ryan-xi:
“Water.” Zoe said. Oh yeah there were the flashbacks to her mother.
As soon as the word escaped her lips, Travis’s left eyebrow quirked up. However, shrugging it off, he quickly walked over to the bar and got her a water and a soda for himself. Returning, he offered her the water before raising his glass in a mock toast. “To us?” And to hydration? The internally communicated joke was something he hoped would be able to break some of the chilliness that had surrounded them just based on their characters.
