“No, no holiday plans,” Laura answered. 

Even students who didn’t celebrate a particular holiday seemed to be planning something for the winter break, be it a trip home, gift giving, or sale shopping, but her only plans were to observe from a distance what others did.

“Why am I just... not surprised at all that Alex was the one who killed me?”

Pietro stood at the makeshift bar, his silver locks slicked back with a side part. He was wiping down a glass doing his best to remember his character notes as he asked, “What can I get for you?”

“Welcome, one and all, here... to my club, The Cat’s Meow! Thank you all for attending... well, except for those of you who I pay to be here. In which case, well... thank you for working at a level where you’re now working my private parties. From me, and my entire family... Let’s make this a night to remember!”

Pietro darted out of a room mid-way through someone else’s sentence, only to return two seconds later, “Sorry. Say again? Not from the start. Just the last thing you said.”

Summer vacation wasn’t something Remy was personally familiar with, considering he’d never really attended formal education before. He knew it was supposed to be the time when people let loose, relaxed, and enjoyed themselves and that’s exactly what he intended to do. Picking someone passing by in the hallway who seemed like a likely candidate, Remy pushed himself off the wall and approached with a smile. “If I was lookin’ for somethin’ fun to do ‘round here, would you be the right person to talk to?”

“Whoever you are, who keeps taking a bunch of peanut butter and leaving only enough on the sides to make it look like the jar is full, you are a true sadist.” Pietro grumbled while chucking the empty peanut butter jar in the kitchen’s wastebin.

Travis sat on the grass out behind the Institute, doing his best to not make too much noise. Alone with his thoughts, it allowed him a bit of time to try and dispel some of the demons he normally had to fight. After a moment however, he heard someone approaching. Turning towards them, he offered a simple smile. “Hey. Just was trying to clear my head you know?”
