@clark-morrison
I just want to say thank you for all your help.
I’m gonna beat the fuck out of this guy.
flynnxcarver:
“I don’t want to do something you’re uncomfortable with.” Flynn shook his head back and forth. He was happy that he was learning things about Clark. What else freaked him out? What else did he feel fear from? “Final Destination isn’t all that realistic.” Flynn insisted, trying to reassure his boyfriend but he felt like he was doing a bad job at it. “We don’t have to get on any of the rides.” He said and then tugged at his hand. “Could you?” He asked, chuckling. “Sounds like a challenge to me.” He then motioned towards the skeeball set up. “Want to make a bet?”
“I mean, we could start with the tilt-a-whirl? That doesn’t look too bad, and I’m sure my loving boyfriend would let me cling to him if I got scared.” Clark chuckled, biting down on his lower lip as he looked over the other. “You say that, but there’s been freak accidents in theme parks before. Real theme parks.” He spoke, brow raised before the male smiled, moving to kiss the other softly. “What kinda stakes were you thinking, babe?”
jackson--norris:
Jackson let out a chuckle “Emphasis on try” he replied still chuckling. Jackson, being quite competitive, was not going to make it easy on the guy even if it was for a simple carnival game. “I like this game plan. I hear that there’s a lot of fried food this year. I think they’re trying to cause some heart attacks.” He half-joked.
“I’m just a little rusty. Once I get going I’m the champ for sure.” Clark grinned, but he knew that he likely wouldn’t beat the other. Rusty was an understatement, but hey, it could be beginners luck all over again, right? “Fried food is a definite weakness. So, which one first?”
flynnxcarver:
“You’re not?” Flynn asked, glancing down towards Clark. He didn’t know all that much about Clark. The two of them rarely spoke about their past, or anything that didn’t have to do with Lake Grimstone. He, of course, was looking forward to talking more in depth with his boyfriend, but they just hadn’t had the time yet. “Um.. maybe the balloon and darts station?” He suggested. “Or… skeeball.”
“I mean, if you really want to I guess I can try one but they just freak me out a little bit. Especially when you hear about people getting stuck on them, or injured by them. Plus, I watched that one Final Destination film with the rollercoaster thing when I was far too young and it’s freaked me out since then.” He chuckled softly, biting down on his lower lip as he looked across at Flynn. “Whatever you want, babe. Though I could definitely beat you at skeeball.” he teased, leaning across to kiss his cheek softly. “We can do whatever you want, I don’t mind as long as I get to spend today with you.”

Cyber security had always seemed difficult to understand to Theodore. Not incomprehensible–he’d taken some comp-sci classes in college and done well at them–but confusing. After all, how do you build an unhackable system? It seemed like a paradox to him. “And? Are you going to make our wifi even faster or more secure? It seems like you’ve done a good job already, though I suppose always checking is a good thing.”
“If that’s a genuine suggestion, I can take a look. But ours is pretty fast; definitely faster than Park’s.” Clark shrugged, though it gave him a little something to work on at least; his workload was running pretty low. Not that he would complain, it was a job he enjoyed and one he was good at. “Hey, you wanna go get some lunch or something? You can still make your notes or whatever but we might as well eat whilst we work.”
“Sometimes what you should do and what you have to do are not the same.”
» ABOUT
NAME: Clark Morrison AGE: Twenty-Seven OCCUPATION: Cyber Security TOWN: Grimstone Point
» HISTORY
Clark Morrison, before Lake Grimstone, was pretty much average. He Grew up in a suburb with a two-parent home. Mom worked part-time, Dad worked a 9 to 5 office job. He loved video games and computers, and soccer on the weekends. His sister and he fought a little, but not a lot. Just normal stuff. He went to college, majored in Comp Sci, and mostly minded his business. Yes, his life seemed boring from the outside, but he never had any complaints. Being normal was just fine with him. Clark had never aspired to anything else, honestly. His schedule left him with time to join a small sports club on the weekends. He had drinking buddies and people he chatted with at the water cooler. Things were just fine.
Then, he lost his job. He’d been working for a CyberSecurity firm that got hacked, and someone had to take the fall. That someone ended up being his whole team, which stunk. But for a guy with his skill set, another job would crop up. And, sure enough, it did. He’d been living in DC for a while, so he knew some government people. One of them approached him and asked if he wanted to do Computer Security on location for the government. Clark had never really thought about living anywhere else; it could be fun. Plus it was a job, so he took it, packed up, and moved out to Grimstone.
Clark has been doing Cybersecurity in Lake Grimstone for a few years now and while he enjoys the friendships that he has made with the residents, part of him feels guilty. He feels guilty that they are in a place that they can never leave. Sure, there is Grimstone Park, the town with somewhat more freedoms, but even with the possibility of leaving Project Lake Grimstone for a few hours a month he doesn’t believe it’s enough, and what about the residents of Grimstone Point? These are all thoughts that keep him up at night and he wished there was a way he could help the residents. He tries to be optimistic and remember that they are all there to train, but he has wondered just what would be so bad if they all could leave. Of course, that is all just crazy ideas that run through his head when work is slow and he would never bring that up to anyone.
» CONNECTIONS
MELANIE PARKER - Clark and Melanie became close friends rather quickly. He sometimes thinks that Mel feels the way he does about the towns but he doesn’t feel like asking would be for the best.
CRYSTAL COHEN - Clark considers Crystal a friend and she is one of the people that he is closest to in Lake Grimstone.
JOHN ACOSTA - John and Clark dated for a bit but things just did not work out between them. They are now just friends and Clark is quite happy with that.
Clark Morrison is a CLOSED character and is portrayed by Elliot Fletcher.

“Luckily I’ve not eaten yet…maybe a ride or two wouldn’t hurt.” He returned Clark’s smile with one of his own. “I’m game for the fun house. Seems simple enough. And like you said, fun is in the name. And if you do try the bungee jump, I’ll happily be your hype man.” he paused. “But from the bottom. I’m not doing that.”
“Yeah, I’m not really the rollercoaster type. That definitely extends to bungee jumping too so likely won’t be doing that.” It was something on Clark’s bucket list, sure, but it was one he didn’t think he’d ever get the guts to cross off. “I mean, some of the rides don’t seen too bad. I think I could handle the pirate ship and the tilt-a-whirl, but that’s as extreme as I go.” He laughed, running a hand through his hair. “So, what d’you wanna do first?”
flynnxcarver:
~~ time jump to evening & festival ~~
Flynn laced his fingers through his boyfriend’s as they walked towards a few of the rides. “Anything you want to go on first?” He asked, glancing towards Clark before his eyes flickered back towards everything the government had set up. It was a huge event and it combined both of the towns. Did that mean they could stay out later than ten? “Or maybe we can stick to the games and I can maybe win you something?” Flynn was not good at any games, unless it was video games, but he’d try.
“I mean, I’m not really into rollercoasters and stuff that much, but I don’t mind the funhouses and pirate ship. The ferris wheel could be good later on, too.” Clark smiled softly as he squeezed Flynn’s hand gently. “The games sound fun, though! Nobody’s ever won anything for me before.” He admitted as he bit down on his lower lip, his eyes glancing across to settle on his boyfriend. “What game did you want to try your hand at?”
johnacostalg:
“Honestly my plan was to just pig out until my pants are too tight. I’m not really the ride or games sort…at least I haven’t seen one that’s grabbed my interest.” John gave a light shrug and smiled at the person in front of him, “but I am open to suggestions. It could be nice.”
“Well, if you’ve already eaten the rides wouldn’t be a good idea. But there’s some things that could be fun, like the mechanical bull or the fun house. That’s kind of in the name, so you can’t deny that would be fun. Personally, I’ve been trying to sike myself up for the Kamikaze ride, or even bungee jumping, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.” Clark chuckled, glancing over at the man with a soft smile.
jackson--norris:
Jackson rubbed the back of his neck and let out a groan. “Why did I agree to this?” he muttered before letting out a sigh. “Maybe games?” He asked turning to face Clark as if he was to make the decision for him. “I’m not really big on all this if you haven’t been able to tell.” He said with a low groan. “The rides are definitely a no, but maybe food and games.”
“Well, I can definitely try and kick your ass at Whack-A-Mole, and Skeeball, and then we can go get something to eat because I am definitely starving.” He hadn’t eaten all day specifically because he knew there was gonna be food at the festival that he could fill up on. That, and because he often forgot to take anything with him and had to go out and grab something to eat instead.
jackson--norris:
There was only one good thing about this festival and that was that for the duration of it people could come and go between the towns and Jackson like that. What he didn’t like was how many people were out and about, he preferred being alone and almost everyone knew that. But he had promised a couple of people that he would make an appearance and so he was standing there in the middle of it all. “So, what do people usually do first?” He asked the person next to him. He honestly had no idea where to even start, if it was up to him he would just dip into a bar and stay there until it was all over.
Clark had decided to take a half day, so that he could actually check out the festival. He loved the hustle and bustle of all of the people, and loved watching them enjoy themselves. Others looked lost, though, and at the sound of the others voice he chuckled softly. “I mean, they usually just have fun. What do you like to do? There’s rides, and games, and don’t forget the food. The food is the best part.” Clark grinned, looking up at Jackson. “Though, if you’re thinking of going on the rides I’d maybe leave the food until later.”
luciexlu:
Lucie stood outside Rendezvous, resting briefly before starting her walk back to Point. She was cutting it close on time, she always did, but she really liked to push her limits with curfew. She was comfortably tipsy, looking around the city in the dark, scanning for anyone to walk with. Noticing someone, she perked up, “Hey!” She shouted, already walking toward them. “Are you leaving? I have to walk back to Point, and I didn’t want to walk alone.” Sure, she had Lu, but Lu was pouting about her choices at the moment. “It’s okay if you’re not going over there, but strength in numbers and all that, right?” Even if she just ended up walking them back to their house, it was good to have a little company.
Clark lived in Point, but he enjoyed some of the places over in Park and being Cyber Security he would travel between the two frequently. He’d had one or two drinks himself, but he only had a slight buzz. The male had gone outside for some fresh air when he heard the resident shout him, and he smiled softly as she approached him. “Oh, sure. I mean, I was going to head back there soon anyway so I may as well have some company on the way back.” Clark chuckled as he looked over the female. Luckily she wasn’t overly drunk as he didn’t know how to deal with that, but she seemed to have enough control of herself that he didn’t need to baby her. “Plus I would really rather you get home safely.”
flynnxcarver:
“Maybe.” Flynn said with a smile. “Only to make sure you didn’t hurt yourself.” He fully believed Clark could cook if he set his mind to it and he’d encourage his boyfriend to do so in the future. “I might take water first. I’m not sure what it says about me if I start drinking this early in the day.” Flynn chuckled as he squeezed Clark’s hand. He was glad that they lived in the same town. It meant they didn’t have to walk too far to see one another. And that he didn’t have to worry about Clark being so far away from him. Sure, Clark probably didn’t need protection. He didn’t even get into arguments with people. But Flynn always felt better when he knew he could use his power to help Clark if his boyfriend needed it. “The gardens sounds great to me.”
“A safety net like you is definitely needed. I’d probably end up burning the house down and I’m sure Aubrey or Wentworth wouldn’t like that.” Clark chuckled softly, before nodding. “That’s fine, I’ve got water.” He dug into the bag to get out a bottle for Flynn, handing it to him in case he wanted it then and there. “But in my opinion it just says you’re old enough and big enough to deal with the consequences of the major hangover tomorrow would bring.” The male teased softly, leading them both towards the gardens. They walked for a bit, before Clark found a place for them to sit and laid a blanket out. He laid all the food out, including the thermos that had the soup in it and a bowl and spoon for Flynn to be able to actually eat it with. They also had a range of other little food bits and snacks, as well as more drinks like soda’s and alcohol. “So did I just interrupt prime Tetris time or is something bothering you today?”
flynnxcarver:
Flynn opened his mouth and then closed it slowly. He hadn’t meant to be rude at Clark. He just didn’t realize it was him that was behind him. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say it in that tone.” Flynn slowly set down the VR headset and ran a hand through his hair to try to fix it. “Baked potato soup?” Flynn’s voice rose with excitement. “Oh come on, I’m sure you can make it if you had a recipe.” He smiled as he leaned in and kissed Clark on the cheek. “I’d much rather each lunch with you than play tetris.” He reassured the other male as he interlocked his fingers in with Clark’s. “What kind of drinks?” He asked as he led the other towards the exit of the building.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it.” Clark spoke softly, knowing that Flynn didn’t really like to be interrupted when he was playing unless it was necessary. The man definitely deemed lunch as necessary. “Yeah.” He chuckled, grinning as the man kissed his cheek. “Maybe, but I think I’d have to have you by my side in the kitchen the first few times.” He squeezed Flynn’s hand, the food and drinks in the bag on his shoulder as they headed out the building. “A mix of soft and alcoholic; I didn’t know what you’d fancy, so I just brought a little bit of everything. Do you wanna go and sit in the gardens and eat? The soups in a thermos so it won’t go cold.”
flynnxcarver:
In the recent year, Flynn had been teaching himself as much as he could about video game design. VR gaming, in particular. He was happy at the fact that in his town, they even had a place that he could play those types of video games. It was the number one thing, in his mind, that stood out for him in the town he lived in. Even if there were times when he wished he lived in Park, he always reminded himself of the opportunities he had in Point that others in the other town didn’t.
The VR face set was tight around his head as he was playing tetris. He was trying to beat his high score, which was one that most people couldn’t even beat, when he felt a presence behind him. It distracted him enough to where the blocks started piling and at that point, there was no stopping it. He let out a groan. “If you were trying to distract me enough to make me lose concentration on my game, then you fucking succeeded.” He pulled off the VR face mask and glanced behind him. “Are the other sets taken up or something?” He was trying not to look or sound annoyed because in reality, if someone wanted to use the station he was at, he’d just let them.
Clark knew he was lucky in that he had found someone in the situation that he had found himself in. He’d liked the towns at first, and he still enjoyed his job considering it was all to do with computers but he just... got a bad feeling every now and then. He knew that for a lot of the residents, no matter which town they resided in, they just wanted to go home.. and home wasn’t Lake Grimstone. Still, he tried to make their days better and easier, and today he had decided that he’d brighten his boyfriend’s day... or try to.
“Well, I mean they’re not taken but if you’d rather play Tetris than have lunch with me...” Clark teased, a grin coming to his lips as he made his way into Flynn’s eye line. “It’s fine, honestly. I’ll just eat this massive portion of baked potato soup all to myself. And yes, it’s safe to eat, because I didn’t make it.” He laughed, knowing that if he attempted to make any sort of meal that took longer than twenty minutes he’d probably end up giving food poisoning anyone that ate it. “I brought some drinks and snacks too.”
clark-morrison:
Clark had decided he could take his work to the beach today, sat on his work-issued tablet that only unlocked with his fingerprint to stop the risk of anyone else getting in. When he heard the voice he turned, smiling as he saw it was Theodore. “it’s a beautiful day. I couldn’t just let myself sit and work in the office when it’s this beautiful.” He chuckled softly, before shrugging at the other. “It’s fine, you don’t have to explain yourself to me. I’m sat here doing work too. What you taking notes on?”
Theodore nodded. Days like this, no one should have to be cooped up in an office. Or, that was his opinion on the matter. He supposed he could imagine someone wanting to be inside–but who, he couldn’t say. “Notes on people in town. Nothing all that interesting,” he admitted with a shrug. “What’re you working on?”

“I’m sure your work is very interesting, Theodore.” Clark smiled softly, moving so that he could sit next to the other instead of raising their voices across the small distance. “Not much, really. Just trying to see if I can make the systems more efficient, a little faster, that sort of thing. I always test everyday to make sure there’s no weaknesses after that too.” He shrugged softly, tapping his fingers on the back of the tablet.
