This is my amazing friend @amanda_stardust from @thornandfinch . A few weeks ago she was my bouncer @craftyfeast and today @sodacitysc I got to return the favor. I have so many great photos of Benny, but here he is at his prime. The most intense, full on, farm dog. He herded goats, chickens, hunted foxes, caught squirrels in a full sprint, (once), and for the last 19 years has slept by my side. Sport and I will miss him and we will rest knowing he is stronger now than he ever has been. Rest easy my friend, you loved wholeheartedly, did not like fools, and loved grilled chicken. #spring has spring. I have been busy doing what we all do and that is staying warm, cooking a lot, and trying to slow down with each day. I haven’t purposely been off-line, it just so happens that I can do a lot of things in a daily routine that don’t involve the Internet. I have been making work, and new bees, VW buses, and Disc Golf, have all been updated in my shop. I know I have dropped off the grid. On a farm, trying to stay isolated for the most part, staying warm and asking myself, what I see now? I see color. The first thing on this farm were horses and chickens. I had been around both before, but it wasn’t until I lived with .... well all animals. We built this farm from scratch so I would have to chase off our free range chickens in order to put up a fence or any other random thing. When a hen would turn and look at me with attitude, as if she was sizing me up wondering if it came to blows who would walk away. She did eventually walk away.
