Clark & Lois are really terrible at breaking up with each other?! She breaks up with him and goes to Africa. He throws Cat Grant's ooey gooey cookies that she used twice the sugar to bake into the trash for the slightest insult at Lois Lane (apparently she's the best crime reporter that the Daily Planet has ever had, goddess of journalism remember?). He buys a plane ticket & carries it around in his pocket. He sends a member of the Justice League to Africa so he can look after her. The conversation probably went like ‘Hey Carter I know you’re probably busy out saving the world & all but also can you do this super duper important mission I have for you I need you to go to Africa to check on my ex-girlfriend & make sure she’s safe & protected if something happens to her like even the slightest papercut I will die screaming jk but not really alright thanks buddy owe you one’. Lois, in Africa, can't stop thinking and talking about Clark. She returns & they have eye sex on the street like it’s their bedroom or something. Do they know they’re broken up?

Then later she calls off the wedding, but still proceeds to wear the engagement ring, and she’s still wearing the necklace his mother gave her as a present when she became his fiancée (she's not doing a very good job of convincing him the wedding is off). He’s painfully aware that she hasn’t called him in 8 hours (he hasn’t gone a day without hearing her voice so it’s concerning to him). She tries to call the guests to cancel the wedding & Clark uses superspeed to grab the papers & her phone to stop her (should have done that last season when he kept getting cockblocked by that damn pink phone). She takes a step back literally when he tries to get close, he’s hurt by that (she’s not allowing him to have full access to her like she usually does & he’s distressed by that). He says he’s showing up to the wedding regardless, she’s gonna have to leave him standing at the alter, that’s the ONLY thing that will keep him away from her. He’s basically like ‘Lois, I know you’re having worries but could we re-discuss this whole breaking up thing after the wedding? Or better yet after the honeymoon?’ They both read each other’s vows & wedding’s back on in 5 seconds. Seriously, they are the worst break-uppers ever.
