so i swear that this started as a "clarks alien biology" but it's evloved into a 'all krytponian alien biology, including Kara, Jon, and Kon' does this still count or??

Hello I have a question regarding the prompts given. The first one says mating bonds. I'm not quite sure what that means. Is it ment to be a mental or physical connection of sorts? Is it behavioral or is it entirely up to interpretation.

You are allowed to interpret that however you want to! Mental or physical, platonic or romantic, the classic soulmate AU or something more along the lines of omegaverse. As long as it connects two (or maybe even more) people somehow, feel free to play around with it 😁

Nov 24, Day 3: Everything looks normal until… it doesn't.

How about going for something close to canon? Like this tiny Superman replica? He sure does look normal enough until… you realise he's already closer to you than it looked like.

Hey! First thanks for organising this event! I'm not super familiar with That kind of challenge, though, so do we need to fill all the prompts to be able to post for the challenge? Or can I post for prompt 3, and 6 only? If I have also a multi chapter fic, that can fill prompt 3 and 6, can I post whenever (day 3 or 6?), do I need to post all chapters, only one... etc. Thanks a lot in advance! Cheers!

It‘s a pleasure! You don‘t have to fill all of the prompts. If you take a look at the FAQ, it states that early posting is not allowed, so if you want to combine prompts 3 and 6 in one fic, you could post the chapter with the day 3 fill on the 3rd day and the other one on the 6th day or you could post both on day 6 :)

When is this event happening?

22-28 November 2021.

Which kinds of creations are allowed?

Fanfictions, fanart, videos… whatever you come up with.

Depictions of real people who aren’t the actors behind the characters are not allowed, as we can’t make sure that said people agreed (or were even able/allowed to agree) to the content you made.

Does my work need to be finished for the posting date?

It depends.

WIPs such as chaptered fics can be posted part by part (especially if different chapters are the fills for different prompts). 

Rough drafts such as first sketches or notes for fanfics are not allowed, although you could add them to your work as extras.

Does the work need to be new?

Yes, content that has already been published cannot be used for this.

Do different versions of the character also count as Clark Kent?

Genderbent/mermaid/turned-into-an-owl Clark? Yes, that does count.

Kal-El in a “Krypton survived” scenario does count as Clark Kent.

Post-“Clark” characters such as Lord Superman or Injustice Superman do count, too.

For the purpose of this event, canonical AUs in which he is not quite Clark as we are used to him (e.g., Hernan Guerra from Gods and Monsters, Hoshi from Shogun of Steel) do not count as Clark Kent.

Is there an AO3 collection?

Yes, you can find it here.

Do I have to add my creation to the AO3 collection?

It’s no requirement, but keep in mind that it can make it easier for others to find your work.

If you decide against the collection, you can use the tag “Clark Kent’s Alien Biology Week” instead.

Do I need to sign up somewhere?

You don’t! Just take the prompts and have fun with them and post your creations on the appropriate days.

Can I post on different days?

Please refrain from posting your creations before the posting dates for each prompt. Late posting, however, is allowed (and encouraged — if you can’t give us the goodness in November, share it with us some other day).

Can I get around tagging my content?

You can use the “Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings” tag on AO3.

Please appropriately tag your content on other platforms.

Clark Kent should be the focus of the content you create. You may include additional characters and pairings as you like, but this is a Clark-focussed event.

The organisers of this event refrain from encouraging or discouraging specific content for the sake of a smooth-sailing event. In the same vein, content creators and consumers are asked to refrain from any sort of content-bashing. Don’t Like, Don’t Read is the guiding principle in this.

The aforementioned rule is part of why you need to tag your content appropriately, wherever you post it. If it includes NSFW or triggering content, make sure to state so!
