Kazuya followed beside him, listening to the reason he was carrying all this stuff in the first place. At the mention of the festival, she sighed. "Nope, we're still deciding between ideas too," she said. "Two of 'em want to open up a little food stall, one wants to put on a show, some want to make a stall for those tossing games... Personally, I wanna help out with making games, it'd be the most fun to set up!" Suddenly a thought crossed her mind, and she lightly bumped Kazuichi's side. "Hey, if that idea manages to go through, maybe you could visit it and try it out!"

“H-hey Zuya… c-can you uh, give me a hand here? If I drop any of these Miss Yukizome is gonna murder me…”

"Holy shit man, how are you still carrying all that!?" It was like looking at a mountain of bags but being supported by a single stick on the verge of breaking. Kazuya could already see some of them threatening to fall over, and she quickly grabbed a few of the stray bag handles to help Kazuichi out. They weren't particularly heavy- though then again, she's used to lifting much heavier things. "There we go, not so bad now, right?"

"No duh I can cook! Making all the food you eat yourself is better than buyin' all that premade stuff from the stores- unless ya can't get anything better," She shook her head. "Anyway, if you wanna know how I started cooking, it was from my mom. I was probably around 7 or 8!"

"I'm leagues better at it now than back then- I almost set the kitchen on fire once or twice..."

She nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders.

“Trust me, I’m careful. You should be tellin’ that to the guy who threw me over the balcony in the first place.” Kazuya could just imagine her friend’s expression once she got back up to the floor they were on- and she couldn’t help but laugh at it. “I bet he’s still freakin’ out, too!”

“Oh, don’t even worry about that,” She guessed he must’ve felt a little weird for phrasing it that way, but she completely understood it. “I take it as a compliment, that’s the whole vibe I wanna go for! And I’ve been called “wild” more than once by lots of people.” Whether or not being called that was in a good way or a bad way was up for speculation.

Kazuichi Soda… Yeah I think Akane mentioned him once or twice. “Name’s Kazuya Shima, but you can just call me Kazu if ya want, no big deal. I’m the Ultimate Personal Trainer of 79-B!”

"I forgot how heavy this things can get..." Cateline gave an exhausted sigh as she sat on a bench, catching some breath as she placed two bags down next to her.

Earlier that day, the painter decided that it would be a good idea to go shopping at her favorite art store, but upon arriving and later leaving she realized she had bought more than she needed. In one hand, a bag filled with paints and pigment powders, while in the other, a larger bag containing two canvasses...It was evident that it was quite heavy to carry- at least for a prolonged period of time, and it did not help that the store was not close to the academy, so she needed to prepare for the long road back.

"Ah...Maybe i should go buy some water for the way."

“…….Cateline?”

It was a voice a little over a whisper. Taro had just finished picking up a few small items for himself in a shop to take back to school, but stopped along the way after seeing someone on a bench… someone that he recognized as his classmate.

He shyly stepped over to her, towering over the painter as he looked over at the two large bags next to her person.

“Hello… Were you buying stuff too…?”

It was just as he was about to fall asleep, that the mechanic heard a loud noise that startled him into sitting up. There was a voice that came from… up? A little sleep-addled, he held his head, taking a glance upward, when…

…someone was falling right at him. He wasn’t given the chance to so much as scream, getting the air knocked right out of his lungs at the impact. Fuck, that hurt.

“Ow, ow, ow…” he groaned, pushing himself up to his elbows. “W-what the HELL was that, man?? I almost threw up everything in my stomach!! And there’s nothing in there!!!” Though, upon seeing who it was, the mechanic seemed to forget how pissed off he was, a curious frown on his face instead. “Wait, you’re the girl who’s got the same feral wavelength as Akane…” That was the name he’s given her in his mind. “…Er, you okay? And if you are, can you uh… move? I mean, t-this position is kinda… a-awkward…” And someone would definitely misunderstand if they come across them like this. “Y-you um, didn’t hurt your ankle with that fall or anything, did you…?”

Okay, that was not the greatest landing. She would probably call it the worst ever if she could see it from an outside perspective.

Stupid fucking branch! Kazuya groaned, sitting up and roughly swatting the broken thing out of her way. It was after picking out a few leaves out of her mess of hair that realized the ground felt a lot squishier than normal. Or that it was some dude in a bright jumpsuit and even brighter hair.

“Gah! Shit man, sorry-” Kazuya quickly got off of him, standing up and dusting her clothes off. “Didn’t mean to fall on ya or anything, and I’m all good, honest.”

“...Wait, what was that part about Akane? And- feral wavelength?” Kazuya said to him, catching the name of the upperclassmen she hung out with from time to time. Was this guy in her class? She didn’t just almost crush a friend of hers, did she?

DRAGGING [ @class-of-79 ] INTO A THREAD.

It’s been a long, long day for the mechanic. He honestly just wanted to take a nap there and then to let his head and sore hands rest for a bit. It wouldn’t be the first or last time he sleeps outside, anyway, and he really could use some fresh air after being cooped up for god-knows-how-long. Man, he really loses all concept of time and bodily needs whenever he’s working on machines…

Stretching his limbs, he sat down on the grass under the shadow of a tree, trying to ignore whatever ruckus was happening within the school’s campus as he screwed his eyes shut and leaned back to relax, set on catching some Zs before he resumes fixing up stuff in his garage. The gentle breeze felt cool against his skin... Yeah, this was nice. It was the perfect weather to nap to.

“Oh SHIT-”

That ruckus was indeed somebody’s fault and was soon to become a bigger problem. From high above, something came crashing down hard into the large tree Kazuichi was trying to nap under. The whole tree shook, leaves falling onto the ground and a few tiny twigs as well.

A bunch of muffled curses came out of the tree before a tangle of wild hair popped out from the top of it, leaves getting stuck here and there in her hair, but she didn’t seem to care at the moment.

She heard someone yelling something from where she was punched. They were clearly worried about her, but Kazuya’s only reassurance that she was okay was giving them a huge smile and a thumbs up. It didn’t hurt that much, I’m fine!

Now she just needed to get out of here. She was pretty used to climbing in and out of trees in her free time, so this would be easy. Kazuya sunk back into the tree, holding onto branches and carefully moving down. Until she put a little too much weight on a tree branch that was weaker than the others.

“...Uh-oh.”

With a big crack, the branch snapped apart, and before she knew it, Kazuya was unfortunately on her way to falling on top of another person.

Akio

Their favorite snack in the whole world is pocky! It's not too sweet, feels nice to munch on, and has been the preferred snack of choice since his childhood.

Akio has developed a habit of sleeping at their work desk- not to worry though, these naps are perfectly timed so when they wake up, they'll still be on schedule.

You can never find them in the cafeteria during lunch, they always eat outside of Hope's Peak alone...

Kazuya

Kazuya can't swim too well! She barely knows how to doggy paddle, so she prefers to stay on land.

Out of all three of the Shima siblings, Kazuya has the toughest time learning new languages.

She and Hanno (of @kibo-no-akademi ) get into a lot of fights, to the point of looking extremely beaten up and bruised- but it's only friendly sparring! They're best friends!

Taro

The horns and ears on his hoodie are custom-made, and he always makes sure to patch them up if they're ever damaged.

There's a tree at the Shima family home that Taro has been taking care of since he was a little kid, in fact, the whole garden is Taro's work.

His red eyes aren't contacts- they're real! He got them from his dad. They almost seem like they shine in the dark, which makes him appear more frightening than intended.

It's Been Awhile!

(Hello! This blog hasn't been logged into for a long time. Not dead though, just the mun has been busy with many different things outside of it. A mix of life and other interests got in the way!)

(I bring good news though! Bit by bit I'm going to try and adjust back to posting here, and I'm starting that by showing off some more muses that were meant to be here a while back.)

(They don't have full-body sprites yet, and this art of them is a few months old, but regardless they deserve to be seen!)

“Doesn’t seem like the type for what?”

Kazuya nonchalantly hung upside down by her legs from a tree branch, which just so happened to be the same tree Cateline sat under. Somehow the painter didn’t even notice her doing one of her daily workouts- though then again it did seem like she was busy talking to herself.

The Ultimate couldn’t help but poke into whatever Cateline was pondering, crossing her arms. “Ya just gonna keep staring off into space or something? What’s up?”

The artist was preoccupied with her own thoughts and failed to notice her classmate nearby. Hearing her voice, as well as the fact that she was upside down, caused the taller female to squeal in surprise. “Ah! Kazuya!” But when she started talking, her expression changed as she realized the trainer was paying attention to her worries.

“Umm, well…”She thought for a moment as she searched for an answer, and then realized that maybe the other could help her. “You know that Hanno’s birthday is tomorrow right? I was trying to think of what to give him, but i’m not sure what would be a good gift for him.” She explained to the other, before her eyes drifted to the floor, Kazuya could see how Cateline reached up to gently rub the jewel on her ribbontie.

“And…I don’t think he’ll be interested in a painting. It seems to me that he wouldn’t enjoy it as a present…A-At least from my perspective!”

Oh. That’s what got Cateline muttering to herself alone in the courtyard? Yuudai’s birthday? Well, if she’s having this much trouble thinking of a gift, she really does need help. Still not bothering to come down just yet, Kazuya shrugged.

“A gift? Easy,” The trainer said to the painter, lips curling into a fanged smile.

“Just fight ‘em! He just loves getting into scraps with me, why not spar with another chick in our class for once?”

"Hmmn...I wonder..." As she sat on the academy's courtyard, the painter pondered with a troubled look on her face as she was eating a big melonpan for lunch.

"No...He doesn't seem to be the type for so." She muttered as she shook her head and gave a sigh of defeat.
