Ooh, have you done an anxious Sylph of Mind with an Heir of Heart moirail? If not, could you try it? :^D Thank you! Please have a good day!

I don’t think I have yet, so here you go! 

An Heir of Heart has thepotential to be a wonderful moirail,especially for someone like our anxiety-ridden Sylph of Mind here. They wouldbe the type to cuddle and reassure and help out the Sylph in whichever way theyneed. This makes the Sylph feel super guilty, since they feel like they shouldn’thave to burden their beloved so much, but it really isn’t a problem for them. TheSylph of Mind is so supportive of the Heir’s endeavors and dreams, even whenthe Heart player is doubting themselves, so it’s not a big deal to answer theSylph’s phone calls or soothe their wound-up moirail. Of course, the Heir isalso the one who tries to get the Sylph towards some professional help, if theyhaven’t seen anyone already, because your Mind player likes to convincethemselves that their situation isn’t “bad enough” to merit that sort of thing.If there’s no access to a mental health expert, well, there’s always theinternet.

Heirs of Heart aregenerally bundles of creative thought and emotion and whatnot, which means thatthey’re both wonderfully sensitive people and also prone to winging it a lotwhen it comes to rationality. In particular though, your Heir is the sort ofperson to do some sort of mental calculation, forget halfway through, daydreamabout something else, and then realize they were supposed to think aboutsomething in particular and just guess the answer. This is a problem whetherthey’re answering a math question in class or trying to figure out how to seattheir friends, which is why the Sylph is here to roll their eyeslight-heartedly and help them out. At the very least, they’ll mutter somethingto the Heart player quickly so the latter can exclaim, “Oh, actually the answeris 48, my bad!”

I also get the feelingthat an Heir of Heart would love dancing with their moirail! However, since I’mnot sure how much public dancing the Sylph of Mind is willing to tolerate, theywould probably make it a more private affair. Don’t expect the Heart player towhip out the foxtrot or ballroom dancing though, it’s more going to be a sillysort of ordeal. Lots of jumping around and holding the Sylph’s hands andgiggling, super cute stuff like that. And no matter how embarrassing the Mindplayer finds it, I mean come on, look at their moirail! How could you deny thatadorable gremlin that’s busy bouncing along to some bubbly pop song?

This glitch idea isn't quite as major, but what if the houses occasionally had buggy textures? One day you walk up to the house and you can see through it, or it looks discolored? Sudden random though, what if "warp points" were scrambled? Walk into your bedroom and wind up in a dungeon! :3 -Tuna

I was thinking of glitches, and realized something… The Gold session members were the guardians of the Silver session and vice versa. *italics* Who aree the guardians in Electrum? -Tuna

Huh… my original thought was that all 10 meteorite babies would crash on Earth and raise themselves without guardians, but that seems like it would affect the characters in some not-negligible manner. Alternately the characters live their lives same as their G/S pre-game versions, but the game hooks them up with an additional 5 players in another “dimension” or whatever and then they all enter the same medium? - Raye

That could work! Another idea I had was that they are raised by other family members, like Tuna and Gold being raised by Tuna’s dad or something. This would have some major changes to the characters (The reason behind Tuna’s name and Gold’s self-destructive habits came to mind), but I figured that not everything would change. Maybe just enough to help each one win. That’s what the scratch does, after all; change the game conditions to give the new players a better shot. It just so happens that the session is horribly glitched :) I’m not sure how well this would work outside of Tuna and Gold though…-Tuna

Jacob and Joann living together and helps by each other would have huge changes to both their personalities. Jacob would definitely be more cautious and open-minded and Joann would definitely not be as easy to manipulate or bully. Both of these developments in their characters would fix the issues these two caused in the silver and gold sessions. Jacob being action prone and sure of himself caused Raye's ascension and the late prototyping. Joann wouldn't be as afraid of Zara and would be less nervous about consequences.-J

An important change for Tuna would be that he'd have some hope in his life. Because anime and such isn't being forced on him 24/7, he can explore other ideas and things without worrying about escaping a certain mindset (namely he stops worrying about "being an anime"). Gold on the other hand gets to live as a normal person with healthy influences. No traumatic events that leave him broken and isolated before the game, giving him a healthier mindset to deal with his eventual crisis. 

Tl;dr, Tuna and Gold have normal lives, which makes the biggest difference -Tuna

Those glitches corrupt the code for the Sprites who become unpredictable and dangerous. This could explain jareubatsprite^2 going insane. And while some sprites like Rayesprite desire to help, they are prone to getting sidetracked, random distortion of appearance in glitches, and sometimes forgetting important sprite information. Feel free to add other glitches! -J

Glitch ideas… Perhaps they occasionally try and persuade the players to perform the fabled blackdeath trance of the woegothics. Lookatchusprite might start to reflect images of doomed timelines alongside it’s regular reflections. -Tuna

Maybe the ring and scepter grant the 9 Silver/Gold prototypings in addition to the 10 Electrum ones :D I think the E prototypings are approximately the same as their S/G originals, so that would make the Black Queen and King nearly twice as powerful as they should be - requiring teamwork from the older S/G members to defeat them. (4 from Silver instead of 5 because of Jacob’s void prototyping.) I suppose 19 prototypings would also be even with our 19 players, assuming Mara is our only permadeath at that time. - Raye

It was an old idea that Tuna had the wrong land. What if the Electrum doubles had messed up lands as well? Not all of them, but some. -Tuna

Oh that's a good idea too. And only the S/G players would realize what's wrong, while the E players would be as confused and frustrated as Tuna was originally. Maybe Tuna could help them figure out their real quests, too. - Raye

The Derse-Prospit Dreamer Imbalance and How Beth Fixes It

Our full 10-player session has 6 Prospit dreamers and 4 Derse dreamers. And while I’m not fond of the “imbalance = rocks fall everyone dies” theory (haha get it… rocks fall… the Reckoning… anyways), I agree that symmetry is always lovely and should always be obtained at any cost.

Enter Beth. Of the Prospit dreamers, she’s the most obvious character to flip Derse. I headcanon Beth as the Chessmaster of our sessions, manipulating Doom itself to her whim. She’s the one who reprograms the Scratch to combine the Silver/Gold sessions instead of flipping them. She probably planted the idea of a Scratch in Zara’s head in the first place (reasons still tbd). But why stop there?

Maybe she realizes that she could have a lot more influence on Derse. She would have early access to some of the key actors in the game. Way more useful than waiting around on reactionary Prospit! So when she changes the Scratch, she also makes sure that her Electrum self wakes up on Derse in purple pjs.

This has the additional bonus of making Beth the only player with both Prospitian and Dersite dreaming selves, as befits a Doom player.

I’m pretty sure she would have to reach god tier in the Gold session to pull this off. That also means both her (gt'ed) Prospit self and her Derse self would be in the same session at once. Yay!

Inviting Beth to join the game may have been the best/worst decision the alphas ever made.

Perhaps that the imbalance is why she wanted to initiate a Scratch? Knowing Zara was threatening and charismatic enough to persuade Ryan, who’d persuade Gold, which at that point Joann wouldn’t stand a chance of standing up to them. But Ryan refused Zara on the boat scene and that’s how the Gold session turned into a mess. The Scratch still initiated it just didn’t happen in optimal conditions. -J

Oh my gosh yeah, maybe Beth knew they couldn’t win that session anyway so that’s why she Scratched. Also the session was just, y'know, a mess in general, and Genesis Pepe would have been missing some frog ingredients (I also headcanon that Gold’s Genesis Pepe is the “final frog” for Electrum session rather than being a genesis frog on its own). And Zara, being a Breath player, is easy for Beth to influence. But things didn’t work as Beth expected, Mara permadied and maybe some of the others lost lives as well, and Electrum became glitched somehow? And those glitches become the Electrum main antagonist? - Raye

Maybe in a week or so. Anyways, I like the short story idea. It would be fun to do, and not as demanding as a full coherent story, as I've learned over my absence. I'm on board with it ^_^

Hi Tuna! Man, I kind of miss the creative energy from this project.  All this great story is just sitting around not going anywhere :(

I know I’m not a good enough writer to turn it into a fully completed story, but a collection of short stories might be fun.  Then the stories can skip around to our favorite scenes and it doesn’t all have to be consistent with each other?

‘Course I can’t be a writer if I just sit around wishing without writing anything, so no guarantees. That’s why I hadn’t mentioned anything yet. But it’s definitely an idea that’s been sitting in the back of my mind for a while.

Head canon that even though Tish and Raye studied the classes and aspects before the session, just like irl no one really understood the Rage aspect in its entirety. Only during the LoChaK flight did Jacob come to an understanding of its meaning with help from Mara.-J

I don’t think I’m ever going to finish this, so, I just want you all to know that this is how I’ve always pictured the aftermath of the Jacob and Raye vs Mara battle on Derse.  (I can’t figure out how to replace Dirk with Jacob.)  - Raye

Jacob would be extremely emotionally compromised. Having to kill two people he cares about in one day. But the knight facade of not giving a fuck is strong and true and this is flawless and canon from my pov-J
