Dark Chocolate Frozen Banana Bites —- the banana tastes just like ice cream!…RECIPE
18.05.2014 I learned yesterday that when you see a bee on the ground that isn’t moving, it’s not necessarily dead, it’s probably just dead tired from carrying lots of pollen and needs re-energising. So if you mix a tiny bit of water with some sugar and let it drink it will give it the boost it needs to continue on its way. Bizarrely, this exact thing happened today! I found a knackered bee, mixed up some sugar water, gave it a drink and watched it guzzle and guzzle then suddenly come back to life. It was amazing! Thank you patrick, it was an excellent tip that i’ll never forget and will continue to pass on to others!
boost this because look bEES ARE DYING AND WE REALLY NEED TO HELP THEM!!!!!!
Help them, sweetlings!
THIS ACTUALLY WORKS
I HAVE TRIED THIS BEFORE WITH BEES AND ITS TAKES A BIT OF NUDGING BC THEY DONT TYPICALLY LIKE WATER BUT ONCE YOU GET IT RIGHT TO THEIR LITTLE FEELY FEELERS THEY WILL SIP IT UP AND BUZZ AWAY
THIS WORKS SAVE OUR BEEES
21 Salticid Street.
Jumping spiders (Family: Salticidae - from the Latin ‘saltus' for 'leap' or 'jump') are everyone's favourite spiders…well, many peoples anyway. If you don’t love these you are a BABY. They are inquisitive, charismatic and gorgeous to boot. Not to mention ubiquitous, easy to find and fun to watch. They’re diverse, and, oh…many dance (well enough to get, well…you know ‘spider-laid’). Hey arachnophes: how are they repulsive, offensive, creepy or whatever? They’re just like lovely little arachno-puppies. Whatever.
There are between 5000 and probably closer to 10,000 species on the planet - that’s about the same diversity as birds. Here in Australia there are an estimated 1000 species in approximately 100 genera. Only about a third of the species have been formally described meaning, that like most invertebrates there is a long way to go before we fully come to grips with their diversity, classification and fascinating evolutionary and ecological significance. All these picture were taken in the last six months on various Deakin University’s School of Life and Environmental Science field trips. I’m no expert but I’m ready to ‘leap’ on the salticid bandwagon.
In another life I think I’d be a Spider Man.
