While the creature seems to be trying to prove himself otherwise, Lloyd remains none the wiser; instead choosing to pick him up off the ground.

“Well, whatever you are, you sure are cute! Even with that skull on your head..” he isn’t sure if it’s a good spot, but he scratches King under his chin, grinning down at him. “Hey, do you need a friend? My dog Noishe would probably love to meet you! Dogs should play together instead of swearing, y’know?”

       “ the skull IS my head! ” his tantrum was momentarily paused by the human picking him up, though king quickly took to squirming in an attempt to get away - until he happened to scritch just under his chin. after a moment or two, the ‘demon’ relaxed a bit, but still glared up at the human. “ i don’t need any dog-friends! i have real friends - not your dumb drool-machine! ” he grumbled, crossing his arms stubbornly.

      an almost defeated sigh as he droops his head for a moment, climbing up onto his familiar spot on her shoulder. “ what about just one? it doesn’t even have to be the really bad one! “ he tilts his head in a pleading look.

       he scurries up onto her shoulder at hearing the “secret”, his tail wagging back and forth rapidly. “ really? and you don’t get in trouble?  what’s the worst word you know? “
