STRANGER THINGS SEASON 1 WAS THE BEST SEASON
little rant (that's probably not gonna be little AT ALL- i'm having too many emotions rn that i can't deal if i don't put it out somewhere)
i'm so sick of people under appreciating the beautiful script of season 1, its characters, depth, storyline, everything was tied so well creating it into a masterpiece of a show.
i used to be afraid of watching it (usually watched it with my eyes closed) but i remember, from cancelling out the scary parts, the feeling of watching the whole thing come alive like i was watching a documentary series. everything felt raw and real, and now after rewatching it, OH MY GOD what a fucking show.
the byers' family being a WRECK, blaming themselves for not being there, having us learn little pieces of their lives (suffering from financial problems, past domestic violence) was what made it so intriguing because it wasn't just another series were a kid goes missing and it's all flashbacks of memories. instead, they giveaway bits of pieces here and there, really letting us feel the way it's hard to cope with those problems because they couldn't even talk about it without getting teary eyed or stuttering. all the praises to winona and charlie, i thank you for the amazing performance.
im gonna have to stop because i'm sleepy đ€

All for the game cover redesigns,, because the original book covers are pretty ugly ngl
âMy Thingsâ, Part 2 of this project complete! If the last one was an action heavy climax from Neilâs perspective, this is the cool down from Rikoâs perspective. And what could cool down something better than Andrew and Neilâs icy stare?
My gosh, trying to capture Andrewâs âboredâ stare-down is like capturing lightning in a bottle. Neilâs shit eating grin, I canât decide, is either trailing from his baiting Riko, or his exhilaration at Andrewâs definitive intervention. (probably both)
This was such a fun project - and a great exercise in anatomy and lighting. By popular request, this pair of artworks is available in my print shop that will perpetually donation portions of proceeds to The Trevor Project! (link posted in bio â€ïž )
