"Oh..." Was all Ven could say. "Maybe if I had visited sooner I could have helped..." Ven wondered aloud, feeling bad for the town but grateful that it appeared to be picking up it's pieces. Seeing the moogle float, Ven let out a smile. "Yeah-- I'll show you the board before I leave, promise." The blond said, following the ninja for the rest of the tour. Staring at the cracks in the earth as he walked.

"Don't worry about it," Yuffie said, "my friends and I did what we could. Everyone on the Planet is working hard to keep things going."

She grinned and hopped around, pointing out a small restaurant nearby, "That's a pretty good spot to eat. Most of the stores here are still running too. The store owners were all really determined to keep business up even when things got bad!" Especially that one lady...

The restaurant as well as the rest of town was on the other side of a chasm. Yuffie walked forward, treading lightly across the rather narrow strip of land that ran through the pit filled with glowing green Lifestream. Looking back without a care in the world, she waved Ventus onward, unbothered by the danger below her.

Tifa quietly smiles before rolling over towards Yuffie and flops on and yawns. "Sleepy..."

"Me too, Tifa, me too." For once the ninja was tired enough to settle down. She scooted out from under Tifa and curled up on the floor next to her friend, quickly falling asleep beside her.

Looking at the life stream, Ven scratched his head in mild embarrassment. "Heh heh... Nope." He said, laughing slightly. He couldn't help but continue to stare before he turned to the girl with a determined shine in his eyes. "I'll definitely show you soon." Ven promised with a grin.

"The lifestream is what keeps the Planet going," said Yuffie, staring out at the scene before them, "This town suffered a lot when the earth opened up here. But they've done a pretty good job of rebuilding."

Oatmeal took this opportunity to come floating back to the pair, she twirled in front of Ven and chirped, "Skateboard, kupo!"

"I have to wear a full set of armor..." He answered as he scratched his head. He was about to explain more when his thoughts were derailed by the unfamiliar material that made a rather gorgeous sight. He stopped to stare for a few moments before he asked, "What is that?" A bewildered look on his face as his eyes sparkled in amazement.

So maybe it's the armor that gets his hair like that?

"I'd like to see your armor sometime! I bet it looks cool! Especially if it goes with a skateboard." It was difficult for Yuffie to admit that she herself had failed to succeed at skateboarding the one time she had tried. She was so envious of her friends who had been able to pick it up quickly.

At Ventus's question, Yuffie spun around and gestured grandly at the giant cracks in the ground that had the ethereal green streams pouring  out of them like smoke.

"That," she said, "is an opening in the Planet that oozing with the Lifestream. You really aren't from around here are you? That's our world's blood! Its life!"

"Eeeheheh, well you never know unless you try. Right?"

Would you like a part-time cook, kupo? Maybe a gardener or someone to clean? I'll do alllll that, kupo. Just give me a bag of 'Kupo Nuts' miss Yuffie, and we have a deal!

"A part time cook?!" Yuffie’s mouth hung open and her stomach gave an unholy roar, “We haven’t had a decent meal in a while…"

She and her own moogle companion Oatmeal exchanged a silent look of understanding before Yuffie turned back to the moogle, “You got yourself a deal! We’ll get you a bag of Kupo Nuts right now!"

That said, Yuffie and Oatmeal dashed off in pursuit of their meal ticket.

"Scout’s honor!" she said before bursting out laughing, “Sorry, Tifa, but I’ll only make that promise if you let me cross my fingers behind my back!"

She skipped out of Tifa’s reach and did a little dance.

Tifa flinches at the taunting gesture of Yuffie , with her hand quickly slid and throw a materia size chocolate ball right at the taunting Yuffie with her’s strength. “Hmph! didn’t Aerith taught you to be nice !"

Yuffie caught the ball Tifa threw at her and sniffed it tentatively, "What's this? Chocolate?"

She grinned at Tifa, "Awww, you know I'm just kidding around, Tifa! Wanna split this with me?"

The ninja pranced up to the other and hugged her from behind.

Ven quickly caught up with the girl, following her for the grand tour of this unfamiliar place. "I don't have an airship, it's more of a hovering skateboard..." He explained, unable to really out it into words. "I'll have to show you later." He said with a grin, realizing it probably sounded either really weird or really really cool.

"A hovering... skateboard?" she blinked at the blonde multiple times. Is that why his hair is like that? Riding in the wind? Hmmm... "Do you have to wear a helmet for something like that?"

They were walking through houses now. Mideel had never really fully recovered from the trauma it endured during Sephiroth's quest to destroy the Planet, but parts of it had been rebuilt. The giant crevasse in the ground pooling with unformed materia had actually turned into quite an attraction, and Mideel had managed to earn some of its wealth back that way.

Taejin’s Army is a closed, alternate-universe, third person role-play group based on Tumblr. Set in the world of Final Fantasy XIII, Cocoon never existed, and people live in relative peace on Gran Pulse.

But recently, the quiet village of Oerba has seen more vicious monster attacks, and similar reports are being heard in the taverns and marketplaces of villages and towns all over Gran Pulse. The recent increase in attacks has mysteriously coincided with another event: A catastrophic event caused Taejin’s Tower, an ancient and mysterious tower built on the cliffs near Oerba, to buckle and collapse, resulting in massive devastation to the nearby area.

The people of Oerba decided: To stop the flow of monster attacks, they needed to form a militia. Taejin’s Army, as it came to be known, stands to this day, attracting soldiers and recruits from all stretches of land to join their ranks.

She held them out to show him her prize, grinning all the while and unaware of the crisis the other was having.

"And this is the town of Mideel. I stopped by here hoping to run into a friend of mine I haven’t seen in a while. But he’s not in," she paused and tilted her head at Ven, “Boy, you sure are lost, aren’t ya?"

Ventus being the ever so excitable and imaginative boy still couldn't say that he had ever thought to use pants as a makeshift bed. The fact that some girl in a world far away was using a pair of Terra's pants for a hammock disturbed Ven greatly, but he decided to stop dwelling on it. "Yeah, I'm not the best at navigating when I fly." He explained.

Yuffie folded up the pants and gave them to Oatmeal to tuck away up in the tree. She surveyed Ven a bit, "Fly? Oooh, do you have an airship somewhere?"

She looked left and right as if she'd somehow be able to see it from here if he had one. Oatmeal came down at that point and started circling Yuffie's head as per usual.

Yuffie started heading back into town, waving Ven after her, "C'mon, I'll give you that tour now!"

"Are those—" Ven abruptly ended his sentence as he looked into the distance and had what could only be described as an existential crisis. He could have sworn those were Terra’s pants and wondered how they got here… Shaking the thought so far from his mind it was in orbit, he looked at the slightly unhappy camper and asked, “What’s this place called anyway?"

Ventus seemed to think Yuffie lived in the hut that sat on the edge of town. In any case, the ninja didn’t have the heart to tell the young boy that she just slept in a tree near the hut so that she could steal from the resident of said hut.

"Nu uh, not over there," she corrected him, “Oatmeal and I set up our camp up there." She pointed above them both towards a nearby tree’s canopy, “Oi, Oatmeal! Get up! We gotta new buddy!"

When the moogle didn’t reply, Yuffie grumbled, “must be sleeping" and proceeded to climb up the tree. When she spotted Oatmeal sleeping in her hammock [never mind that she had fashioned said hammock out of Terra’s stolen pants], she gave the makeshift bed a kick and the moogle came tumbling down along with Terra’s overlarge pants. Both objects landed on the ground, and Yuffie jumped down and picked up the moogle, scolding it for sleeping in her spot.

Ventus managed to worry himself slightly as his first reaction to the correction was: Tree houses are cooler anyway! However, looking up into the tree Ven noticed the makeshift camp and the oddly familiar looking hammock. The boy had a very random thought as to how Terra and Aqua were right now, but shook the thought away as the hammoch and moogle came tumbling out of the tree. Ven was a bit startled for a second but calmed down once the unfamiliar creature appeared to be okay. He waved at it and issued a small greeting out of politeness. "Hiya. I'm Ven."

Oatmeal was still disoriented by the abrupt awakening, though she managed to wave back and offer a "Hi, Ven, I am Oatmeal" in response, accompanied by a small bow.

Yuffie had other things on her mind however. Picking up the pants from the floor, she scowled at the moogle, "Look what you made me do to my lovely hammock." She proceeded to dust it off, "I guess it'll probably be alright. Sorry about this, Ven, just gimme a sec."

To make sure she got all the dirt off it, she shook out the pants a bit, fully revealing them to her other companion.
