So now that Episode 9 is fully out, can I take a moment to talk about this scene?

This is the first time he’s being told, and probably the first time he’s even entertaining the notion, that he’s capable of being loved for who he is and not just what he does. That he has inherent worth simply because he exists. That just… for how heavy this whole episode was, that hit me the hardest, I think.

Same dude, Caine just having proof that he’s enough to be loved as he is right now and he doesn’t need to try and work harder and harder to make people love him…. That hit close to home in that feeing loved and accepted as you are is not a familiar thing.

I don’t think we ever heard a genuine laugh from Caine before, it’s always like- exaggerated or for show. (Not complaining, I find it endearing and funny)

That’s what made me think of this idea. It makes sense for this particular Caine to take on more human attributes. :)
