Clémence Poésy for Pablo SS15 {x}
“The people we meet in life and the loves of our life are very, very important in terms of what or who we become. Change when it is right is probably for the best.”
“I believe you have to make things happen. That thing: ‘Oh, I just did an audition and I didn’t want to get it but I just got chosen.’ I don’t buy that. No. You have to want to get it.”

I just go where the stories are,where the tale is that you want to tell. And it’s also really important to know and explore your craft in different ways, as long as it’s done with the right people.
[Not being popular] gives you the courage to invent something that’s yours and also to find friends that you can really relate to-not to just go with what’s in. You can immediately recognize people who have gone down a similar path, who are a bit maladjusted as well. You have to encourage people not to give in to the temptation to be normal, even if it isn’t easy—because when you’re young, you really want to belong. {x}

French is the language of love, but I think English allows you to express your feelings in a better way. I also think it’s less cerebral, more concrete. Sometimes, French makes you take yourself too seriously: you unconsciously listen to yourself talking.
Actresses are so spoilt - we have someone who does our hair for us on set, so we don’t know how to do it ourselves in real life. I know how to wash my hair and brush my teeth, but that’s about it!
