I am 21. 18+ only. This is for adults. -- he/him -- Clement Hale, feedist and writer and soft-hearted man and more. I wear many hats -- Check out my pinned <3
Hello, dears. I'm Clement Hale, though Clem is perfectly fine, as is Clement, as is Mr. Hale, as is... well, I think that's the span of the nicknames, actually.
This is Clem Having Seconds, a little personal blog project about feedism, fatness, appetite, beauty, indulgence, pleasure, books, and whatever else follows me to the table. I'm a fat, queer, pansexual and transgender, glasses-wearing, philosophy-and-literature sort of man, and someone who loves to think far too much about the ordinary and extraordinary pleasures that make life worth living. More about me under the cut...
Firstly: this is an adult-only space. That means 18+. Minors and ageless blogs will be blocked.
Currently: no numbers talk yet, please. I’m going softly, listening to my body, and overtaxing my clothes. That’s all. I like a bit of praise, but try to put a bit of effort in, maybe? Tell me you notice the little things, and you will be rewarded in kind.
I'm interested in quite a few things; feeding, gaining, softness, and changing bodies chief among them. But I am also a proud lover of the little things that others leave behind:
The sweater that fits a little more snugly after lunch. The strange intimacy of being offered seconds. The warm feeling of cooking for another person. The pleasure of noticing yourself becoming softer. The politics of appetites. The ocean of nuance between being desired and being objectified. The little truth that sometimes being fat is a socio-philosophical discussion, and sometimes a soft belly is just lovely to look at. Sometimes it's both. Most of the time, even.
Here you'll likely find rambling essays, awful jokes, my softening body, open tables for discussion, things I'm reading, things I'm eating, and the occasional (okay, much more often than occasional) stray thought that might be far more flustered than the academic tone would suggest.
You don't need to have a perfect idea of your identity or preferences to join the table, you don't need the ideal vocabulary. We can all learn and grow (ha!) together. Healthy curiosity is encouraged. Kindness is absolutely mandatory.
A few house rules, during your stay:
Office hours are open, but responses may take time. Patience is a virtue, my dears.
My experiences and desires are my own, chosen by me, and are not advice or instructions for any body but the one I'm living in.
I will not post my face. If you ever recognize me outside of here, please do not interact. It’s not shame that drives me to do so, but I have a very public facing career in academia that i don’t want compromised. Thank you.
Please do not repost my works or materials without my express permission.
Please do not use degradation unless it is explicitly asked for. Soft praise is always welcome.
Anything to do with intoxication will be cannabis, which is legal where I’m living. I cannot drink due to a medical condition, so I’m California sober, as it were.
Do not pressure me or anyone else to eat, gain, or lose unless they have clearly said that is what they want.
Do not pressure me or anyone else for measurements, photographs, or specific roles. Being present here is not an immediate consent to hard sexual content and comments.
Ordinary conversation is always welcome. As is personal experience, little ideas, fragments of ideas. That's why the peer review submission box is there. We're sharing space.
Disagreement is healthy. Questions are healthy. Cruelty is not. Harassment, bigotry, and anti-fat rhetoric will be swiftly dealt with. Fat people are human beings, not props, even in feedist spaces. Especially in feedist spaces.
You might enjoy your time here if you're a fan of:
Soft, consensual feedism
Fat appreciation, beauty, and liberation
Weight gain and body changes
Queer and trans community focuses
Kink ethics and communication
Philosophical cultural criticism
Long-form horny posting disguised as essays
Sweaters and pants facing increasingly difficult working conditions
Foolish little thoughts (usually accompanied by weed...)
My ask box is open for thoughts, theories, reflections, and respectful nonsense. You are free to interact anonymously. I am free to choose what I interact with, and what about me gets to stay private. But, of course, that is not to say "don't have fun". Just... be cool?
Sit down, slow down, relax. Don't be afraid to settle in a bit. Enjoy your time, stay curious, stay hungry. And please, pass the bread and jam?

Perhaps this is just my imagination, but with all of the various posts I’ve seen featuring it, and my own experience, we should all be sponsored by Ben & Jerry’s. This is truly absurd. We love it.
Speaking of, just mindlessly ate an entire container of it. Oops.
Ordered take-out, because a man cannot simply cook every single night. They seem to have sent two sets of chopsticks. I am feeling a normal way about that.
One container of Ben and Jerry’s later. I have made several mistakes. I will not be issuing an apology.
My roommate returned home, and said “that’s a lot of food.” Then noticed the containers were empty. He simply said “damn”, then gave me a once over. I am sure I reacted abnormally.
Also, the deep fried gyoza were below average, but the bulgogi was excellent. If anyone was at all invested in the take-out.

Watch out, everyone. Clem is about to get emotional on the kink blog.
So I’m a chronic pain sufferer, which is quite miserable in most every circumstance. And I’ve had a terrible flare up today that’s rather making me feel worse about everything in the entire world.
There is, thankfully, a cure. I call it Midnight Soup Theory. The name, frankly, explains itself. Soup at midnight. Midnight isn’t really a truly prescriptive time, but normally it’s between 23:00 and 03:00 (yes, I know this is an inconsistent methodology to ascribe to a “theory”. Yes, I will continue to do it.). Midnight Soup Theory is normally very cheap packet noodles, cooked with a kettle, which I can almost always stand to make even while in pain. They are salty, bland, and texturally disappointing. They are perfect. They’re not for weight gain, or calories, or even for hunger. Midnight Soup Theory is entirely about having a full, warm belly and feeling better about continuing to exist.
Midnight Soup Theory is for aching, or for being burnt out, or for being sad. Midnight Soup Theory is for long days and longer nights. Sometimes Midnight Soup Theory is about proving you survived yesterday, and you will still survive tomorrow. That’s why it’s midnight: the only time of day that typically belongs to no one but yourself.
I wasn’t going to post about Midnight Soup Theory. But I just had a bowl of cheap, salty packet noodles, it’s dark, and it really made me feel better. And I think, perhaps, some of us out here could benefit from Midnight Soup Theory. I might keep posting about it. Just, maybe, as a quiet little proof that I survived yesterday, and I will still survive tomorrow.
Just made a kimchi quesadilla. That’s kimchi and shredded cheddar cheese in a tortilla. It was ridiculous. I’m fairly certain it constitutes a crime in both Mexico and Korea, and I have to assume it’s A) an incorrect use of kimchi, and B) not a real quesadilla. I loved it. Cannabis is one of the greatest things in the world.
Conducting work on the sweater study. Turns out, after a big dinner and a bigger dessert, I can confirm my hypothesis that it was fitting differently was entirely correct. These shorts may not be long for my hips, either. Further research will come.
Comments (especially praise) from the community are more than welcome here. Call it a peer review of the findings, I suppose.
NEED a feeder that talks about me like a pet owner talks about their fat pets
“Oh, he’s not overweight, he’s just fluffy.”
“Overfeed him? No, I just leave food out and he knows how much he needs.”
“His health is fine, so what if he breaths a bit heavier and doesn’t move as much.”
“Yeah, he has to be careful on some of the furniture, TOTALLY not because he’s too heavy for them though, they’re just really cheap and flimsy is all.”
“The clothes I ordered for him are too tight, I guess the website’s sizes must be wrong.”
“He gets stuck in things sometimes but that’s just because they make everything smaller these days.”
“He has been getting a little rounder lately, but that’s just cause I’ve been too busy to take him out for walks as much.”
“When he’s a good boy, I give him extra treats, and my little angel is always a good boy.”
“Who cares if he’s fat, it just makes him cuter.”
it's good to get fat on purpose it's good to get fat for fun it's good to get fat just cause it makes you horny it's good to get fat cause you think it's beautiful. being fat is fucking awesome and it's normal to want
