Celebrating 20 years of Frida, released October 25 2002 → (6/?)
A collection of all the intimate scenes in the Frida movie
My head is utterly and completely empty
Now Frida is a very interesting combination, because Frida will get dressed up, she will wear traditional garb in a non-traditional way. She had her own sense of style, and she celebrated herself. In her darkness, you could see that in her dress when she cut her hair off and wore a suit—we were shocked. But we understood, because the great thing about doing something like Frida is that you had proof within both her words and paintings. Your tools were there. You watched Salma become Frida, and you watched Salma as Frida.

“Needing to have reality confirmed and experience enhanced by photographs is an aesthetic consumerism to which everyone is now addicted.”
— On Photography, Susan Sontag (and she wrote this in 1977!)
it’s been two years and i’m still not over the original cardigan lyrics
I want a soft connection. I want to be asked how my day went and if I need anything. I want forehead kisses. I want the back of my hand kissed at red lights. I want to be asked how I’m mentally feeling. I want to hold hands everywhere we go.
An archivist found a long forgotten 8mm film reel in an old metal box, marked "Philipines 1942". Thinking it was lost WWII footage, he sent it in to be restored/digitized. When he got the footage back, he found puppies instead (via)
Excellent use of film
when arctic monkeys sang “I wanna be your vacuum cleaner, breathing in your dust” and when the lumineers sang “damn your wife, I’d be your mistress just to have you around” and when hozier sang “if I was born as a blackthorn tree, I’d wanna be felled by you, held by you” and when son lux sang “if you need to, you can break me too, please just take me with you” and when of monsters and men sang “I’ll be the blood if you’ll be the bones, I’m giving you all” and
hozier released a new song called Swan Upon Leda. This is a very important song that everyone must listen to and stream everywhere!!!! heres why he wrote the song
