I got insane about going to the gym because I developed a true single mindedness about doing one (1) unassisted pull-up. My dear friends in Christ. My back muscles grew so big my wedding dress no longer fits and I have been banned from doing back and shoulder workouts. Rip one (1) unassisted pull-up you will live on in my heart.
P*E*A*N*U*T*S for your viewing pleasure! There will be more of these, I'm already working on another with Henry and Radar!
Due to popular request, these are all available on my inprnt :]
Share this with a special old man in your life <3 (Note: you can be an old man at the ripe age of very young if you put your mind to it!)
iPhone face this iPhone face that. I have the opposite of iPhone face. I have the face of a WWII nurse in her sweetheart soldier’s locket. He dies tragically on the battlefield and the last shot is of the locket with the glass broken and you see my face. That’s the kind of face I have.
having grown up in a conservative Catholic community I struggle so deeply with the (true!) concept that not everyone should go to college. Because. On one hand. Yes! Not everyone is meant to undertake higher education, it’s not necessary for everyone. However. When you spend your early life being told that women especially don’t need it and that you simply don’t need MORE education to be a wife and mother (which, of course, is your highest calling, is it not?) - then hearing that not everyone needs to go to college does not feel like rebellion against the machine it feels like conformity and it feels like intentionally knee-capping intelligent, motivated, and ambitious young women in order to keep them within conservatism and Catholicism. What better way to stop someone from leaving than to take away their tools for doing so!
I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.
can we bring back the term "fair-weather friend" bc I feel like if fair-weather friends got called that more this whole argument about whether or not you should be there for your friends when it's inconvenient/at what point of personal inconvenience it's ok to bail on your friends would kinda fall apart bc like. we literally have a word for "friend who's only there when you don't need something from them" because the baseline expectation is that a friend should be there even when it sucks. like we used to make fun of people for bailing on their friends.
wedding photography canceled yayyyy

"Mr. Bartlet, it's for you! It's God... He says we should have girls at St. Andrew's."
Jed Bartlet is 18, entering his last year at St. Andrew's Academy, and a proclaimed Boy King. Everyone knows he has a very bright future ahead of him. One that involves Notre Dame and theology.
All he has to do to get there is survive one more year under his father's thumb without angering him. Oh, and maybe figure out his mysterious roommate somewhere along the way.
So i finally posted the west wing/dead poet’s society/ a separate peace fic I’ve been threatening to post for years. truly this is an extension of the like, four scenes we get of jed bartlet’s teenage years in two cathedrals. god bless and godspeed.
Just found out my preternatural ability to predict doom and death and destruction in every aspect of my life is actually an anxiety disorder and not a clairvoyant gift from god for his specialest favorite most nerve-ridden hyperventilating little girl

watched all hunger games movies in one weekend truly cannot stop thinking about coin and snow and the line “I don’t want what you have I want to be you”/“of humble origins and born of the cursed sex, my name is Brutus but the people will call me Rex”
fuck I have so many thoughts. Genuinely how did this series get touted as like “ya dystopia whatever whatever” and perPETUALLY made fun of holy fuck. Like over the past few years I’ve reread/rewatched a lot of series that were very important to me in childhood and most of them don’t hold up but Suzanne Collins. The woman that you are. You see right through the soul of American capitalism don’t you. You see it for what it is! And you said! I am going to write not a love story but a story of survival using love. Not how the revolution will be televised but how we need to be critical about every thing televised. I am going to write a story about how desensitized we are to the death of children because they’re not OUR children. I am going to write about how the two ways to oppress a people are to malnourish them and work them to death AND overfeed them and distract them to death, and we do both. I am going to spoonfeed das kapital along with a sharp, bitter critique of our warmongering government and culture of entertainment above all else to every single American teenager and most of them won’t get it. But maybe a few will. Maybe!
