My name is Inas, and I am a mother of five living in Gaza. Our lives were once filled with hope until a bomb exploded in my husband’s car, injuring him and killing those with him. My home, which I built after taking a loan from the bank, was bombed, and now we have no means of livelihood.

We are living in a tent without shelter, and my children are suffering from illnesses due to the lack of basic supplies. They have lost their school year because of constant displacement, and I long for the day when they can feel safe and loved again.

We have been displaced several times due to the ongoing war, we lost our home after it was burned and bulldozed with everything it contained by the Israeli occupation army and now we need to find shelter for ourselves. Food is scarce and prices are beyond our reach. Every day I search for basic supplies, but I often come back empty-handed. My wife does her best to prepare meals from whatever scraps we can find, but it is never enough to fill our children's bellies or lift their spirits.
