This is red on red violence. Fortunately for Heatwave, Cliff isn't in a mood to retaliate. Instead he just groans, still laying sprawled on the warm grass, and aims a blind swat at the other bot's helm. "Slagger."

Sunstreaker would never, ever, admit to doing anything remotely seen as soft. He would never be seen doing it.

But hes gently pulling a blanket up around Sierras shoulders, making sure she was properly tucked in for the cold night. He knew the deserts here get cold in the night, and he didnt want to hear Cliffjumper moaning about it.

Definitely not because she was cold.

The gesture triggers a sleepy mumble from the girl, and she shifts in place on the couch, but settles back into sleep easily enough.

Give it another hour, and Cliff will come wandering by to gently scoop her up for transfer to the human-sized bed in his quarters. And if he notices the fleece blanket tucked around Sierra in a way that she definitely didn't do herself, well. He can keep it to himself.

It is Officially Summer and Sierra's in a mood to redecorate her backyard - which! Means a shopping trip! And also an excuse to poke one of her all time favorite people: "Hey Jack, any chance I can borrow you for a few hours? Today or tomorrow?"

"Definitely. What're we doing? Food, fun, business?" His holoform steps out of his altmode and circles around her to peck her cheek gently. "I can cover transportation there and back."

"Sweet, thank you!" She grins and returns the quick kiss. "I want to get some new outdoor furniture and decorations, if you don't mind hauling boxes to my house. We could stop somewhere for fun on the way back, or get things set-up and then have a cookout!"

Not really in the mood to host a big party, like she might have in the past, but- still pressed by the need to celebrate. And also refresh the view out her kitchen windows. And also-also to spend time with Jack, now that the chaos of high school finals are finished.

Sierra is being 'kidnapped'.

Well, its less kidnapped and more being gently picked up by Ghost so he can see and hear her better. Gingerly placed on his shoulder while he continues some other work.

"Excited to be out of school for a few months?"

Best sort of kidnapping, to be quite honest.

"Yes," she grins, heels kicking back and forth. "Cliff and I are going to go exploring at least twice a week, maybe do some overnight camping! I found a new audiobook series we're going to listen to, and Cliff's picked up a new game we're going to try out-"

The girl keeps going for a while, grinning wide and eager, happy to talk as long as Ghost is willing to listen.

Summer time means Road Trips. Road trips mean random, off-the-beaten-path back-country highways with only the occasional lone building or fellow car to be seen. They also mean long, curated playlists, indulging in all sorts of snack foods and flavored drinks, and from time to time pulling over to admire the view or to find an emergency pit stop.

Lots of opportunities to meet new people, too.

Cliffjumper is practically bouncing on his wheels waiting for the final bell, and as soon as it goes off his kid does not disappoint!

Sierra's one of the first teenagers to come charging out of Jasper High, her little-used backpack visibly weighed down with Primus only knew how many textbooks and stuffed folders, a couple more binders tucked under one arm that must not have fit inside the overstuffed bag.

Taking a chance that the rest of the kids rushing down the school steps are otherwise distracted, Cliff swings open his passenger side door just as Sierra comes within range. She doesn't hesitate to drop the binders and backpack alike onto his seat, and oof, lugging all that weight around ought to count as extra credit for gym class, honestly.

As soon as the girl collapses into his driver's seat, she points dramatically out the windshield and declares, "Autobot, roll out!"

Laughing, Cliff puts pedal to the metal and books it.

Cold servos curl there way around Cliffjumpers neck cables. Near freezing and not really trying to hide who he is. Voice a raspy whisper.

"I am quiet pleased that it has been proven thay you aren't an incompetent buffoon. You've done right by her, I suppose." The cold claws trail as he shifts to the human, this time much gentler. An active effort to keep her from the cold of his claws.

"Your an incredibly bright star, darling. Your intelligent, and will go quiet far. Im quiet pleased to know you as I do."

Oh, gee thanks for the extra dose of heebie jeebies, Ghost, way to make Cliff want to jump out of his own plating. "Yeah, yeah, same to you, or whatever."

The chill makes Sierra shiver, an automatic reaction, but she follows it up by reaching out and giving the nearest claw a careful pat. "Thank you. That means a lot."

“Thank you for keeping Jack company. Things are difficult, these days. Friends make life worth it.”

Well that successfully makes Sierra blush and duck her head. "They really do. Pretty sure Jack's the one who should be thanked for sticking around with me, though."

"How do you live with the fact that he killed you?"

Sierra stares at the pitch black metal that now forms her fingers. Feels a light breeze playing over the wings that emerge from her back, tickling the sensors in a way that's similar to how strands of hair used to slip free from her ponytail and brush the back of her neck, but not the same. Never the same.

"...I would have died anyway," she eventually murmurs. "At least it happened this way because he cares."

Instead of suffocating from Cybertron's poisonous atmosphere, she drowned in cybermatter, and something still came out of it. The something being her, as she is now - just not who she was then.
