February 23
Today was another ordinary day.
I woke up, showered, made dinner, hung out with Z, went to work. Nothing remarkable on paper. But at one point I stopped and actually looked around instead of rushing past everything. The light coming through the window, the quiet of doing small tasks, the comfort of just sharing space with someone. I’m trying to notice those moments instead of dismissing them as meaningless.
Ordinary doesn’t have to mean empty.
I also learned something new today about taking T — something called bottom growth. It made things feel more real, and if I’m honest, it made me nervous. Not because of him, but because of my own fears. I haven’t been with someone with a vagina in sixteen years, and there’s this voice in the back of my head asking, What if I don’t know what I’m doing anymore? What if I’m not good enough for him?
It’s strange how insecurity can show up even when love is present. This isn’t about attraction or care — it’s about feeling out of practice, out of place, and scared of disappointing someone I deeply value.
Maybe this is just another part of learning someone.
Maybe intimacy isn’t about already knowing — maybe it’s about being willing to learn.
I’m trying to remind myself that connection isn’t a performance.
Just another day of figuring things out.
