Adventure

This summer is going to be epic. That's all I can say for now.

“The other riders on the camper bus thought I was crazy for backpacking solo and I tried to erase any fears from my head. Not long after I slung my heavy pack on my shoulders and started to walk along a glacial stream bed did I feel truly alone. The popular Denali park road with buses running every 15 minutes started to dwindle in the distance and I never saw another trace of people for the remainder of my trip. I chose to hike through the intense tundra plains of Polychrome Pass and set up camp within one of the glacially carved valleys. Not a tree was in site, but the plant life was in full colors and many rose quite tall. The plains looked flat and easy from a distance, but once in them the difficult bushwhacking made me rethink just how easy I thought this little adventure on my days off would be.”
