Liam glanced down at his hands. Honestly, he never really had a friend that stuck around. Unless he counted his sister. Now, Isabella seemed to be sticking around, maybe even Wren if he had the guts to talk to him, but Liam understood where she was coming from. “That’s not… a good life, Cassandra.” Liam muttered. “I can say that… I’m not going to just walk out of your life. You need someone you can… feel comfortable around and I’ll try to be that person, okay?” He said as he glanced towards her. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever trust her with his past, but he’d at least help her feel like she had someone to talk to.
Cassandra looked at Liam until he began speaking. She lowered her head and managed to make some sort of slight smile appear on her expression. She wasn’t uncomfortable talking about this with Liam, she just didn’t know how to have a conversation like this. Cassandra wasn’t used to having real friends that she could count on. “You would do that for me?” She said quietly, slowly raising her head to look into Liam’s eyes. “Well, I know I’m not the most comforting person to be around, but I’m the last person to judge you for anything.” Cass knew that whatever people thought was the wrong thing to do, she had probably done it before. “I can actually be a good friend, just give me a chance.” She finally smiled, properly this time, and looked up at Liam.
