Hi! Was hoping fellow Cloti lovers could help me find a super old fic that was written on ffnet years ago! It’s AUish where Cloud leaves Tifa unexpectedly one day because he has some sort of terminal illness and never told her. Years later, he goes back to find her, only to find that she’s engaged to someone (OC). Nevertheless, they have a secret affair and the climax occurs when Tifa’s fiancé finds out. I remember Cloud singing “Only Hope” by switchfoot to her in a field! Thanks in advance!
