Help Thomaserena support multiple Sudanese families and a community kitchen

Thomaserena has been organizing to help several Sudanese families, some who have relocated to Egypt and others that remain in Sudan. In addition to these families, he is also helping a community kitchen afford their operating costs so they can continue to serve displaced families with no where else to turn for meals, clean water, and shelter.

The monthly goals are 72k on gfm for the families and 28k on chuffed for the kitchen.

The operating cost of the kitchen continues to increase due to rising inflation and the ongoing water shortage. Thomaserena unfortunately had to dig himself deeper into dept last month to help the kitchen afford water tankers after donations were not enough to cover the costs. We cannot leave this burden to Thomaserena to carry alone. Please step up to help by donating what you can.

straight up saw someone referring to things like Heartstopper and Love, Simon as "tame and sterile queer media" and its like. im sorry but perhaps the soft queer media aimed at teens doesnt need to have sex and gore in it. like i will be the first to criticize the idea that teen media can be overly censored but you need to look at the fucking genre. are straight romcoms tame and sterile bc the girl with glasses thats going to have a makeover in the second act isnt getting fingered on screen. get a grip

and moreover the idea that those shows/movies are just unrealistic sap when they also deal with homophobia and mental illness just in a more hopeful way that doesnt get too dark with it because again its meant to be for a wider teenage audience is frankly ridiculous. im sorry if your dark and sophisticated tastes arent getting satisfied by the fun media made for teens but perhaps you should seek out shows made for your demographic. i do understand that those are also in short supply but thats not the fault of the queer teens who are seeing themselves on screen in a hopeful way for the first fucking time.
