“The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs… one step at a time.” - Joe Girard
Dear Tiffany, Okay okay I told you wanted to do more quotes per week so I would spend less time on each and what do I do? Dig up some callig pens and spend waaaaaaay too much time having fun with dem nibs aka killing myself bc I’d always screw up somewhere - SOMEWHERE - in that sentence. This is why I’m sticking to computer-y stuff for my major. All numbers and erasable mistakes. In response to what you said about artists and architects who get to sit behind the control console: the past few days I’ve been going to residential construction sites with the pop and working here and there where I can. Even as artistic directors and whatnot, the hardest labour we might ever do is bend over our desks for hours and maybe walk to the art store (idk there’s online shopping now). So it’s very humbling and eye opening to do the dirty, gritty work to better understand and appreciate the unassuming jobs that many have to turn to as a means of survival. They’re the hands that turn our mind’s vision into reality. I might have been a calligrapher, and I might have not. Okay I really need to catch my Z’s. PEACE OUT TIFF. Cherry
