Tips and tricks for bodily hygiene when you dont have the motivation to clean yourself from a depressed person with ADD ★

(This is just what works for me it might not work for everyone!)

• Can't get the motivation to shower but don't wanna feel gross? Here's some things i do to help me feel clean when i dont wanna clean myself!

You can rinse your face in the sink or use a wet wipe to get off all that oil that might be making you feel icky!

If you have long hair you can braid it or put it up in a ponytail. Or if you have short hair try pinning it back or using a headband

• Something I struggle with is brushing my teeth, its a sensory nightmare for me and i just dont like it!

Something i tell myself is that it is OKAY if you eat after brushing your teeth, yes technically that defeats the purpose but at least you did it and thats all that matters ☆

Rinse with mouthwash or water if you're like me and dont like the feeling of bristles ♡

I know know knowwww its hard but you dont wanna lose all your teeth or get an infection so just do what you can, even if thats just rinsing with water <3

• Can't clean your room? Thats okay! We've all been there. Try to consolidate the mess into one area! That helps me feel better which then helps me be able to clean later because most of the paralysis is due to being overwhelmed about the amount you have to do, so lessening it anyway you can, no matter how small, can be a huge help <3

And most importantly, try putting down your phone because doomscrolling is NOT going to help your problems (even tho we wish it would)

Just close it and rest your eyes for a bit

Well, that's all I can think of right now, again, this is based off MY personal experience and what works for me <3 hopefully it can help someone else too though ^^
