Sunset over Pocklington, York.
Day Eleven: took a road trip up to Whitby where we stopped for photos in a field, explored around Whitby town, climbed up to the Abbey and got slightly rained on. Took a detour through Scarborough on the way home but didn’t want to get out because it was packed
Day Eight. Spent the day in York. Walked the walls, found owls and squirrels in the museum Gardens, checked out the Minster, and of course did a bit of shopping along the way
Had a very quiet day. Went to the local markets, then to the designer outlet centre. Then topped the night off with a mini local pub crawl and several rounds of cards

Have now left London. After a 3 hour train ride we've made it to York and are staying with Nana and the rest of the family in Pocklington. We're here for 11 days and will hopefully be taking lots of road trips around :)
Started off with a good old shopping spree on Oxford Street. We made our way to Camden to look around the markets, then made our way to Primrose Hill to see the view over the city. After that was a trip to the British Museum, which was full of amazing things like the Rosetta Stone and the mummy of Cleopatra
London so far
Our first full day was pretty full on - we hit up most of the touristy spots, navigated through the underground, and walked over 20,000 steps
Have made it to Dubai Airport (13 hours and 45 minutes later). Feeling a little worst for wear but we’ve stopped for a French toast breakfast break, and will be boarding again in just under 2 hours for the last leg of the journey before London!
The sun was coming up by the time we landed, at 5am!
So we've gotten past our first hurdle already. Went to the check in counter only to be told that the plane that we were supposed to be on was "too full" (not really sure how that happens). But we were put on a slightly earlier plane that goes through Brisbane instead of Sydney, and we get the exit rows so no neighbours and INFINITE LEG ROOM. Lucky for us this flight arrives in Dubai at pretty much the same time so we can still get our connecting flight. An odd start but it turned around very quickly :) We're now in Brisbane and it looks like we get the same awesome seats all they way to Dubai
1 more week until our adventures begin 😎
