After three to four hours, finally the traffic has started clearing up. All the involved in the accident are doing fine and Lorelai Garcia has gone straight to the hospital, her injuries are still undisclosed. Ambulances are set to get to the location of the event as quick as possible so that the paramedics can take whoever needs to be taken to the hospital. It has been a rough night, but those in charge will do anything possible to get the injured to a hospital.
Police will from now on, be investigating the cause and expect to interview everyone who has been involved. Security cameras will be checked and most of all, those in charge of the event and of the fireworks.
OOC:
With this, we have closed this event, we want to thank for everyone’s participation -- it actually ran smoothly and we owe it to you guys for being so excited about it and engaging your characters and roleplaying with people you’ve never seen before. Making mamas proud.
Know that major plots should be continued on the dash until they are finished, but you and your roleplaying partner are the ones to decide if so is happening.
The functioning of the roleplay will go back to what it was before. Including starters, just to remind you: one starter, per character, per every three days, don’t post a starter on every character at once, because that’s not in the rules.
Nobody was greatly injured. Please, handle your character’s injury as it should be and don’t forget that your character has been injured just because the event is over. Injuries take time to heal and so will these.
Be reasonable about your character’s needs to go to the hospital. Some of them could be cleared off on location by nurses and paramedics on the triage tent (the tent was equipped for something like this, of course, not on this proportion, but it was. Our mayor always hopes for the best and prepares for the worst.
Have in mind that this event has had an impact on your character and the town as a whole and will be inserted in all of the plotlines from now on (please don’t let it be forgotten now that it has passed).
This has been an event that shouldn’t be forgotten and will come in play for the future.
❝ It’s nearly time for the main event of the night! The Fourth of July fireworks will begin at 10:30pm, so everyone please head down towards the lake, find a comfy seat on the bleachers or set out a blanket on the grass, and enjoy the show! ❞
As the clock struck ten thirty, all who were at the grounds gathered by the lake for the highlight of the evening – the Fourth of July Fireworks. Cloverbrook had always tried to go all out on the Fourth of July, one of the few times of the year that they invested in fireworks, courtesy of the richer families in town. But this year was a first, to hold Fourth celebrations at the lake, and it seemed to be the right choice, surrounded by clear, still water and the lush greenery of Crystal Falls. The sound of happy laughter was ringing in the air, the atmosphere thrumming with excitement as kids and adults alike waited with anticipation. All were dress in red, white and blue, some happily tipsy as the hours went by, and most were just trying to find the perfect spot to watch the festivities. Picnic blankets laid out on the grassy knoll, and the tall, wooden bleachers set up for better vantage point were filled to the brim as people started finding their seats, snacks and beers in hand, waiting for the show to start.
F I R E W O R K S.
The lakeground lights dimmed, a faint orange glow illuminating all that were there as the announcer on the microphone began counting down. “Ten, nine, eight..” The crowd chanted with happy smiles, all eyes turned towards the water.
What was suppose to be a beautiful display of lights in the sky as the chanting finished at ‘one’, as suddenly, instead of shooting upwards, darts of fire were aimed into the crowd. Screams of panic filled the air, everyone scrambling out of the way to get out as soon as possible, a terrified stampede heading away from the lake. The fireworks were unstoppable at this point, hitting the wooden bleachers and sending it collapsing into the ground, set afire as the cries of help from those injured were heard. Pieces of shrapnel were sent flying and the unlucky were hit, laying on the ground, bleeding.
A panicked, booming voice came over the loudspeaker, but it was too late. The music had abruptly stopped, the atmosphere turned sour, filled with confusion and hysteria as now Fourth of July in Cloverbrook was nothing like what it was supposed to be.
OOC:
Everyone is impacted! If your character is not injured, they would most likely be there as it all went down and trying to get out. You are welcome to think creatively around this for your character, but please run major plots by us as usual.
General starters by all are welcomed.
If your character has been injured, either post a general starter or a closed starter for the person you were paired up with. In the case you haven’t heard back from that person, you’re welcome to post a self-para.
Triage, security and organizing committee are still expected to be on duty especially now in emergency situations.
Please be aware that for those leaving and entering the lakegrounds that there is a CAR ACCIDENT backing up traffic. Security detail (Matthew Nelson & Charles O’Hara) and ambulance services from the hospital have been called but we currently have no other details surrounding the crash. We will be hearing more from Tabitha Hughes as time goes on. Everyone in the lakegrounds, please continue enjoying the festivities.
OOC: Please tag all starters and posts related to this with #clovercrash.
As the sun sets over Crystal Falls lake, we would like to draw everyone’s attention to the main stage! That’s right, Wade Patterson from Platinum Fist will be introducing our next few musical guests that are ready to showcase their talents. First up, we have Nic Andretta followed by everyone’s favorite radio host, Kasiya Sheppard, so kick back, relax and enjoy some good tunes. The dancefloor is ready and waiting for those in the mood for a little boogieing!
Food and most drink stalls are now semi-closed so hopefully you’ve packed some snacks! A huge thank you to the staff of La Ciudad, The Beach Bar and Golden Boy for their services this evening and enjoy the rest of your night. Alcohol will still be sold on premises.
The lake is now CLOSED and barred off for the evening, with security detail standing by, so please be warned not to sneak in after hours.
Alright, Cloverbrookians, we hope the afternoon has been going by splendidly! More and more people have gathered since the celebrations have kicked off so everyone, please be patient while finding parking, it’s a little bit of a nightmare out there! As well, the lines for food and drink stalls have been backed up so for those waiting on delicious tacos and beers, it might be a half an hour to an hour wait as our chefs and waiters are working as fast as they can to serve you.
While waiting, our second movie of the night will be playing on the big screen, and all carnival tents are still open! It’s still bright and sunny on this gorgeous Fourth afternoon, so we have just a little more time left if anyone wants to squeeze in some fun on the lake. Waterskis and kayaks are still available for rent and just a general notice that the lake will be barred off towards the end of the night.
Off duty:
Triage Tent: May Robinson & Daisy Gillard
Security: Parker Ramsey & Matthew Nelson
ATTENTION: If anyone has seen a small boy with a navy blue shirt, red and white tie sewn on the front, and a grey hat, please report to Security & Dimitrie Gabor immediately. The child responds to the name of Lucas.
Happy Independence Day to all! The sun is shining, and it’s beautiful weather for a day out at the lake, so come one, come all, join us and spread out those picnic blankets for a wonderful Fourth of July. This year is nothing short of spectacular, with the mayor’s team working tirelessly with a number of volunteers around to make sure this event is successful and memorable for everyone in town, and we have none other than Wade Patterson who will be on the microphone and hosting the evening.
If you’re feeling a little peckish then both food and drink stalls are ready to go! La Ciudad, Golden Boy and the Beach Bar have kindly offered their catering services for the event so be sure to pick up some delicious meals on your way to exploring the lake grounds.
Kayaks and waterskis for rent by the water so why not enjoy this sunny weather we’ve been having and go out for a ride on the lake? For families and children alike, movies will be playing on the big screen, and there’s the carnival tent with games and a small petting zoo, so come visit and say hi to Charlie the lamb! For the lovebirds out there -- oh yes, I see all you sweet couples -- let me suggest the Bluebird Bench out near the lake, with the best view of Crystal Falls, and that’s a little secret from me to you.
Want a little time to shine in the spotlight? No problem, just be sure to lookout for the team of Journalists roaming around, they will be taking photos today and interviewing many of you for our Newsletter coming up next week! So tell them your thoughts, your stories, and what your little town means to you. Be sure to upload your outfits of red, white and blue to instagram with the hashtag #fourthfashion.
Take any chance to thank the team preparing behind the scenes just for you! They will be answering any questions or queries, and security detail will be on sight to make this the best possible Fourth of July for you, so have a wonderful time.

Cloverbrook’s Independence Day Celebrations - July 4th, 2015
Every year, across the States, all hearts of Americans beat red, white and blue as they celebrate freedom, liberty and justice. Cloverbrook is no different, as residents gather by the lake at Crystal Falls, with a town-wide party to celebrate and a fireworks show at the end of the night. The field and lakeside will be fenced for what the mayor and his team has planned, so come along, pack a picnic, watch the show and get ready for Independence Day.
Event information:
Everything will begin from 4pm onwards on July 4th!
Dress code is red, white or blue! We would love to see what everyone wears so feel free to post them on the dash. Don’t forget to tag with #fourthfashion so everyone can see.
Barbecue pits will be set up by the lake, with choices of hamburgers and hot dogs.
There will be kayaks and waterskis for rent by the lake.
An open air cinema will feature family-fun movies such as Mary Poppins and Honey I Shrunk the Kid.
Live music will begin at 8pm!

This will be a semi-plotted event! We will be creating prompts and plots, but ultimately we would love to see other plots created, especially with players and characters you haven’t talked to.
If you would like your character to participate, please like this post on each character (or reply/message us if your characters are on sideblogs) by Tuesday, June 30th. Unfortunately, if you don’t like the post by Tuesday, you will not be given a plot, but you are perfectly welcome to join in the festivities on the weekend!
We understand that the 4th is generally a busy time for those in States, so if you feel like you won’t be able to be around for the event then please let us know beforehand. It makes planning a lot easier!
The day will be a public holiday for everyone, so all businesses will be shut for the day, and everyone is expected to attend.
We will be messaging players individually with plots and ideas after Tuesday.
Gameplay will begin on Thursday the 2nd, 6pm EST!
Please remember the course of the event will actually be the night of July 4th, and that the timeline will be progressive. This means that anything played out on July 2nd & 3rd will be earlier in the night, and July 4th & 5th will be later in the night. The events blog will be posting updates throughout the event so please keep an eye out.
More info will be released nearer to the event, but for now, remember to like this post!
The official tag for this event will be #cloverfourth so be sure that everything is tagged accordingly, specially your starters.

❝ Never tell me the sky’s the limit,
when there are footprints on the moon. ❞
If you could do anything, go anywhere, or learn whatever you wanted in this lifetime, where would you start? This task will focus on your character’s Bucket List – those dreams they’d like to see become reality when they look back on their life. It can be something simple as learning how to juggle, to seeing the Taj Mahal, or even getting married. Whatever those goals are that your character’s have, we’d like to know them! These could even be inspiration for future plots, because after all, the best adventures happen when you say yes.
Day 1: One country/city/place they have never been to but would like to visit one day – Why this particular place? What are the attractions? Do they have any significant meaning for your character?
Day 2: What fears would your character like to conquer, and what would be the ultimate way of doing that? Think big!
Day 3: What would be three new hobbies/skills your character would like to learn or brush up on? Why?
Day 4: Adventure time! What would your character consider the ultimate adventure? Are there any experiences your character would want to go through, or feel?
Day 5: Given the opportunity, who would your character most want to meet in the world? Why? What would they want to find out?
Day 6: What are your character’s biggest goals and dreams in life that they’d like to see come true? Are there any special memories they’d like to have when reflecting on their life?
For inspiration, please check out bucketlist.org and bucketlist.net!
These can be answered in first person or third person, and as always, we’d love to see creativity! Please tag everything under #clovertask, and have fun!
To see previous task posts, please check out our task tag! New players and characters, feel free to do these if you wish, it’s always a great opportunity for everyone to get to know more about your character, and there’s definitely no time limit any of these.

❝ Why change? Everyone has his own style.
When you have found it, you should stick to it. ❞
As Rachel Zoe once said, “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak”. The way a character portrays themselves aesthetically in their day-to-day life speaks volumes of their personality, character, their habits, routines and comforts, and thinking about a character’s sense of style gives an interesting dimension in bringing them to life.
This week’s task will be a small one as we’re trying to steer away from questionnaires and change it up a little. Instead, what we would like to see is Outfit Of The Day posts! This can be easily made on Polyvore eg. (x) (x) (x), or style moodboards, or even scrapbook images -- the sky is the limit! If you need any help or inspiration with this, please let us know -- the admins have a wealth of resources available and we can also guide you through Polyvore!
Day 1: Describe your character’s aesthetic, and how they developed their style with an example of a usual outfit of theirs.
Day 2: What your character would wear to go to work? How do they present themselves professionally?
Day 3: Disaster! Your character slept through their alarm and has woken up late for a meeting. What would they pull on?
Day 4: What would your character would wear to an informal dinner party?
Day 5: Accessories! Their must-haves and go-tos? Heirlooms? Watch or no watch?
Day 6: Cupid’s struck, and your character has to make an impression. What would your character wear on a date?
Day 7: Your character just won $100 voucher for their favorite clothing store. Where do they go, and what would they choose?
Please tag everything under #clovertask, and have fun!

❝ “For in every adult there dwells the child that was,
and in every child there lies the adult that will be. ❞
W E L C O M E to our weekly Headcanon Day, where we will be posting development prompts every Friday with a different topic!
For our second task, we’ll be focusing on your character’s childhood, up until the age of twelve years old. Our childhood experience and memories cement the person we become later on in life, forming aspirations, moral compasses, and our attitudes towards various things. Idyllic, or painful, those past years are important in understanding how those formative years resulted in the person your character is today.
What was your character like as a child? - Are there still personality quirks, habits or traits that your character still holds on to today? How has your character grown since those years? What does your character now miss about their childhood?
Outside of the family life, describe your character’s childhood. Was it happy, or sad, and why? What was your character like in school? What sort of hobbies or interests did your character have during those childhood years? Were they involved in extracurriculars? What would be a daily routine for your character? What did your character want to be when they grew up? What did your character do during their summers?
Where did you character grow up? - How does your character feel about their childhood home? Are they still staying there? If not, why? What sort of memories does your character have about the places they’ve lived in?
Who were your character’s first friends? - Best friends? Crushes? Are they still in touch? If not, why?
What is your character’s fondest memory from childhood?
What is your character’s worst memory from childhood?
What is your character’s most embarrassing memory from childhood?
Write a letter from your character to their twelve-year old self. - This can be separate from the rest of the questionnaire.
When answering the questionnaire, try to give as much detail as possible instead of answering with just ‘good/bad’. You can describe this in third person or first person if you wish, and we’d also like to see drabbles/self-paras of memories or flashbacks, etc, so get those creative juices flowing!
Ideally this would be spread out over the course of the whole week — so think of it as an overall topic, but with a daily focus. It doesn’t have to be too heavy: it can be small headcanon posts each day, or you can break down the questionnaire over the week and expand on it however you choose. We’d just like to see a full picture of what your character’s childhood is like!
Please tag everything under #clovertask, and have fun!
❝ Real family does not always come from your blood.
It is the people standing beside you when no one else is. ❞
W E L C O M E to our weekly Headcanon Day, where we will be posting development prompts every Friday with a different topic!
Today, we’ll be focusing on your character’s family — who they are, the dynamics of belonging and community, and is blood really thicker than water? We really want to get a sense of what your character’s upbringing was like, and how that was formative for them. Whether it be the people that share the same DNA as them, or the people that grew to be their family through circumstances, it helps to think through what your character’s considers family, and the nature of the relationships that they have with those people.
What does 'family' mean to your character, and why?
Describe your character's parents - What their personalities are like, what kind of careers are they in, what kind of relationship they each share with your character, both past and present. Are they close? If not, what has caused the rifts? What standout memories does your character have of them? In the case of a death, what does your character remember most about them?
What kind of traits has your character inherited from each parent, and why? - In the case that a character has one/none of their parents, are there any traits or parts of your character that has always been left unexplained?
Describe your character's siblings - This can largely be left open in case someone else plays a sibling, or if you want someone to take up a sibling in the future, but we'd still like to see your ideas of what their sibling(s) are like -- this would be a good place for drabbles of past memories!
What was your character's upbringing like? Strict, or non-strict? Were there any traditions? What kind of life lessons was your character taught through the notion of family?
What sort of issues has your character's family gone through? Has it been overcomed, or is it ongoing? How has it had an effect on your character?
What's a standout memory of theirs when it comes to their family? This could be birthdays, Christmases, Thanksgivings, or fights, death, accidents.
Who, other than blood relatives, does your character consider family, and why? How did their bonds formed, and why does your character trust them? What sort of relationship do they share?
When answering the questionnaire, try to give as much detail as possible instead of answering with just 'good/bad'. You can describe this in third person or first person if you wish!
We'd also like to see drabbles/self-paras of memories or flashbacks, family templates, family moodboards, etc, so get those creative juices flowing! Ideally this would be spread out over the course of the whole week -- so think of it as an overall topic, but with a daily focus. It doesn't have to be too heavy: it can be small headcanon posts each day, or you can break down the questionnaire over the week and expand on it however you choose. We'd just like to see a full picture of what your character's family is like!
Please tag everything under #clovertask, and have fun!
The event has officially started! Please remember to tag your starters with #cbvalentines in addition to the usual starter tag. We hope you enjoy the party and keep in mind that it will last until Sunday at 11pm EST but all events will have taken place on Saturday the 14th. Have fun and Happy Valentine’s day!
Hello citizens of Cloverbrook! Saturday is quickly approaching and everyone is running around making reservations and buying flowers and chocolates in order to get ready for the big day. Valentine's day is both the best and worst day for some people but here in Cloverbrook we like to think of it as another day in which anything could happen. Thanks to the generous hearts of Peter and Jacob Redmayne, residents of Clovebrook are invited to come celebrate Valentine's day at their house in Crystal Falls!
The party will include:
An Open Bar.
A live performance by Platinum First.

A photo booth station.
And lastly, people floating around all night to help you get notes to your special someone.
The party will take place on Saturday, February 14th at 8pm!
OOC:
Everyone is allowed to have their character attend the party but it is not mandatory.
We will not be giving out plots for this event so you are free to plot on your own and decide how your character will spend the night.

Notes can be sent to anyone from anyone!
Only nice notes, please. No hate or rudeness will be welcomed or sent out. We're all about spreading love from friends to lovers to everything in between.
Messages for valentines/notes are only to be sent to this blog!

The event will start at 7pm EST on Saturday and last until Sunday at 11pm EST.
The starter tag for this event will be #cbvalentines. Please keep in mind that although we will be lenient on the starter rule for this event that the starter tag should not be flooded all at once. We're all about spreading the love and want everyone to get the attention that they deserve!
