So... as most of you already know, that story explores some very kinky stuff. And I was like, "Why not just go a step further and explore more?" Especially with Ronan, because it really fits his personality.

Hence why I added a path for Ronan to be into CnC. You'll get the option to block his hunt if you are not into that.

Also, please, this is fiction, this is just me trying to write more complex characters. But if you feel like you want to yell at me for that addition, go yell at Jude, or Enspey. 😄 (jk, please don't send any hate, anon. I just want to have fun writing an unhinged ROs that some MCs, mine included, will enjoy.)

Anyway, just a sneak peek of what I'm talking about. If you block Ronan here, you won't get his hunt, his romance, or his POV.

I know mc can sleep with all the ros at once but will there also be a choice in the romance to get into a proper relationship with all of them (or 2 yes and 1 no)? Also would it be a poly in the sense that everyone has feelings for everyone or is it more of a V where all three of them are fine with being in a relationship with mc at the same time 🧐

I like that you're not sold just yet on Ronan. It's good to see that different readers appreciate different ROs, and I'm happy I delivered.

Yes, there will be feelings by the end, of course, lol it's a romance game after all.

That is why I try to have the MC interact with them before the hunt and after the hunt, still not knowing who they are. That way, MC gets to know them and falls for the real them, not just the hunter behind the mask.

There will be poly with all 3 of them, but you get to choose if you want a relationship with just one, or two, or all 3. They will not be into each other... But....

Please don't judge. I was talking to one of my friends today and was telling her how I feel like Ronan and Seb would be just the most choatic one-time-hookup, but this would only happen with MC making it happen. But the jury is still out. Lol, I'm still trying to work on the logistics of that.

The goal is to have them have a sort of arrangement where MC spend a week with each one of them, and they all fight over MC.

You're curled on Ronan's couch, ankle throbbing beneath the ice pack he'd practically forced on you twenty minutes ago. There's tea in your hands, some herbal blend that tastes like grass and is lukewarm now, but you keep sipping because it gives you something to do besides think about how this wasn't supposed to happen.

This is Sebastian's week. The arrangement was clear. One week with each of them, rotating, no overlap. Simple rules to keep things from getting messy after the Hunt. After they found out you were their prey.

Your ankle gives a sharp twinge, and you shift, trying to find a position that doesn't hurt. The movement sends the blanket sliding off your legs, and you sigh. It's one of Ronan's, smelling like his detergent and his cologne.

The apartment is too quiet. Ronan's been in the kitchen for the last ten minutes, doing God knows what. Probably brooding. He's good at that.

Just then, there's a knock at the door and your stomach drops because you kind of know who it is.

It's Sebastian.

Of course he'd track you down. The man probably has your phone GPS'd six ways to Sunday. Tech billionaires and their boundary issues. Ronan emerges from the kitchen, and your brain short-circuits for a second. When did he get changed?

He's shirtless, gray sweatpants hanging low on his hips, and there's that tattoo sprawling across his back as he moves toward the door. The muscles shift under the ink, and you force yourself to look at your tea instead. The last thing you need right now is to get horny.

He doesn't even check the peephole. Just yanks the door open like he already knows who it is.

"She's here, isn't she?" Sebastian's voice cuts through the doorway, and you can hear the irritation in every vowels.

Ronan leans against the doorframe, smirking. "Nope."

The lie is so blatant, so lazy, you almost laugh.

"Move." Sebastian's tone drops to subzero.

"Make me."

There's a scuffle, something light that signals Sebastian's shouldering past Ronan. Once inside, his eyes land on you immediately, taking in the elevated foot, the ice pack, the blanket, the whole pathetic picture you make.

His jaw flexes. He spins on Ronan. "What the hell did you do to her?"

"Me?" Ronan slams the door hard enough to rattle the frame. "She twisted her ankle. I'm taking care of her."

"It's my week."

"Your week doesn't mean shit if she's hurt."

"She could have called me—"

"She could barely walk, Seb. What was I supposed to do, leave her on the fucking sidewalk?"

They're squared off now, Sebastian in his pristine button-down and Ronan half-naked and ready for war. The testosterone in the room is almost too much. You take another sip of grass tea and wonder if you can hobble to the fire escape before they notice.

"This is exactly what I'd expect from you," Sebastian says, voice dropping to that dangerous calm he uses when he's about to eviscerate someone. "Taking advantage of a situation—"

"Taking advantage?" Ronan steps closer, and there's maybe six inches between them now. "I'm making sure she's okay. Which is more than you'd do. If she needed you, you'd probably ask one of your assistants."

"I would be here myself, as I am now—"

"Yeah, now. After I already did the work." Ronan grins. "Face it, Seb. I do a better job taking care of her than you."

Sebastian's eyes glare at him.

Ronan's grin widens. "Also, I have a bigger cock."

The words almost made you choke on your tea. Your brain processes them in slow motion, trying to figure out if you actually heard what you think you heard. Sebastian's face goes through about six different expressions in two seconds—shock, outrage, something that might be embarrassment, then landing on pure fury.

You set your mug down on the coffee table with a loud clink.

Both men turn to look at you.

You stare between them, keeping your expression completely flat. "Are you two... an item?"

The silence is deafening. Ronan's mouth opens, closes. Sebastian actually takes a step back from him.

"He's not my type," Sebastian says quickly, too quickly, adjusting his cuffs, and looking away.

Ronan recovers faster, and chuckles. "I'm everyone's type."

"You're delusional."

"You're still here."

"To collect what's mine."

"She's not a fucking package, Seb."

"I didn't mean—" Sebastian cuts himself off, pinches the bridge of his nose. You can see him counting to ten in his head, probably in three languages. "This is precisely why we have an arrangement. To avoid... this."

"This?" Ronan gestures between them. "This is you being a control freak who can't handle that Ella chose to come with me—"

"I didn't choose anything," you interrupt. They both look at you again, like they'd forgotten you could speak. "I tripped. Ronan was there. End of story."

"He was probably there because he was stalking you," Sebastian grunts.

"Fuck off," Ronan growls.

"Make me," Seb replies.

Question about pre-existing romances in IF

If you like romancing characters where there's already some kind of romantic feeling there in IF, what do you enjoy most about them? If they feel more special compared to romances that start onscreen, what gives them that spark for you?

And more specifically:

-do you like being in the pre-existing romance at the start of the game, or do you prefer being exes with an optional chance to get back together during the game?

-do flashback sequences feel necessary to make this romance structure feel real and fun to you?

-Bonus question: if you prefer your MC's romance to start onscreen and in the MC's present, what do you prefer about that / dislike about a pre-existing romance?

-Related adjacent bonus question 2: how do you feel about a prior non-romantic connection, ie the NPC being a friend, rival etc before the start of the game and romance beginning onscreen? Does that feel noticeably more (or less) exciting than meeting the character at the first time as your PC does?

Fur patterns - visual references

I will change some things in the available pattern within the character creator: I plan to remove the spotted choice (because it's basically the same as dappled) and instead add "color point fur", which means that the extremities of the limbs, the muzzle and the tail are darker (or lighter, for the game's purpose) in color. So, with that in mind, these will be the options with visual references. Oh, also some of these patterns aren't naturally present in wolves (some of these images are of dogs), or are very rare and not so evident, I kinda imagine them much more pronounced.

SOLID COLOR FUR

This means that the fur is mainly of one color, there might be some areas that are slightly lighter or darker but only in the shades of the same primary fur color. Bela has a solid color fur.

DAPPLED/SPOTTED FUR

This means that there is a base color, and then small spots in another different color. They can be distributed in an uniform way, or concentrated in some areas.

COLOR POINT FUR

As I mentioned, this means that the fur is mainly solid color, but that the extremities of the limbs, ears, tail and muzzle are darker, or lighter. Kesha has this kind of fur pattern.

PATCHED FUR

This means that there is a base color for the fur, but on top of that some areas bear patches, bigger than spots, that are of other colors. Indigo has a patched fur.

The visual of ICARIS — the pretty face, the one plastered all over covers of magazines. Angel was often dismissed for lacking skill, but you’ve seen how fiercely driven they were to improve. Publicly, they appeared icy and unreadable, the very picture of elegance and class but privately, there was warmth, humor, and unbreakable loyalty to the group. Today, they are an award-winning actor, married to their childhood best friend, and raising two children. Time has softened their edges, replacing empty confidence with quiet self-assurance, but their words remain as sharp and direct as they were years ago. Character Introduction.

Cloud Rattanakorn

Cloud is the kind of person people often described as “comfortable” — never too loud, never too sharp, never too popular. The public liked them for being the steady calm in the middle of ICARIS’ chaos. Accompanying that calm was an unyielding will to keep the group together. Cloud was often the one to step in, to soften the jagged edges of their members before they cut each other. Hoshino Mitsuki

The beacon of hope, the source of laughter, the sunbeam after curtain call. Mitsuki was an amalgamation of all of the older members’ personalities — a perfect mixture of each one’s best traits and their most human flaws. Mitsuki had a uniquely unbreakable bond with each of the members, and the fans, acting as a constant presence of warmth and reassurance — someone to lean on just as they had leaned on others. Finley Beckham-Barlowe [f/m]

"Music unlocks the soul; that's why it's called a key."

Closed-off and understated, Finley is used to getting overlooked. They fit the image of the cool bassist on stage, though the same easy-going attitude doesn’t quite carry off of it. Quiet by nature, they still voice their opinions without hesitation. They're also not one to conceal their emotions intentionally, and love music that convey feelings in a raw manner. Getting them on stage is of little issue, it’s the spectacle beyond performing that leaves them weary.

As the bassist they could be the rhythm to your melody or the chain to your freedom. They can guide as easily as they obstruct, and the dynamic between you would be a constant push and pull. Finding balance won't be easy, but if established, you'd have an anchor for life.

Bem Adeleke [f/m]

"There is strength in crying and in numbers… so crying about maths is the epitome of strength!"

Friendly and eager, Bem sets out to win people over. They're a natural mediator functioning as the backbone of the band, yet unfamiliar with the drums, they constantly scramble to keep up with the rest of you. They live in constant movement, much like the dance music they're drawn to, rarely slowing down to think about themself. Getting them on stage is the hard part; everything after is what they live for.

As your drummer they sit at your centre without meaning to, trying to be a steady baseline without matching the tempo required. When the beat does drop however, you know who'll break their back trying to catch it. But heartbeats are tricky and synchronization can't be forced. If developed naturally, it would mean two lives equally intertwined by the pace you've set.

Irene Svetla Pop-star phenomenon and Britain's sweetheart, Irene was a contestant on Stagebound a decade before you. Winning the competition meant skyrocketing to fame in an event that still leaves her reeling. She's your self-imposed protector and can be your greatest ally as well as your biggest obstacle.

Zakari 'Zak' Hakim Underground artist turned mainstream as hip-hop exploded in popularity and carried overseas. He knows the industry well and bears it with a grin. Zak grants you the most freedom but the least guidance, focused solely on increasing your reach even if it means stretching you thin in the process.

Chris Feldman Veteran from the glory days of the seventies and eighties music scene, Feldman carries the scars of a rockstar with understated pride. When music shifted and his band became obsolete he took a backseat as a producer and manager instead. Feldman knows all about the hidden corners of the industry and the danger of vices. He's there to toughen you up, and give you the reality check you didn't ask for but might have needed.

Change: How has their personality changed since Seven left the band? Are those changes related to Seven leaving?

Bandmates: How do they feel about the members of the band? Would they still be interested in stardom if they weren’t with that group?

Hero: What is their favourite thing about G? Why is your MC such a big fan?

Fans: How is their relationship with their fans? Do they go out of their way to interact? 

Manager: Do they get along with Orion? What do they think of him as their band manager?

Besties: What’s their friendship with Rowan like? What are some things only he knows about them?

Baby: How do they feel about Jazzy leaving? How are they coping? What are their plans to stay in touch?

Tattoo: Did they keep the tattoo with Seven’s initials? Why/why not? What was that decision/execution process like? (Bonus: What do they think of Seven keeping their tattoo?)

Development: How did you come up with your character? Is their design still evolving? How do you think they might develop through the story?

Voice: What does their singing voice sound like? Do you have voiceclaims(s) for them?

I cannot stop thinking of Young!Seven and MC whispering secrets to each other, daring each other to do reckless shit, comforting each other over parent drama, writing lyrics about each other before they started sharing that together, subconsciously comparing every friendship or flirtation or relationship with their private dynamic, seeking each other out on bad days, spending so much time together they know each other's smells and the sounds of the other person's steps, confessing their fears, hyping each other up, planning an entire future around the other one, etc etc I'm going to be sick.

how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)

there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~

I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first 

url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order

url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes 

url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc

url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly 

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant) 

the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog! 

caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks. 

if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else

if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)
