Let's say Fr was N's shadow during this time, to be close to MC and sneak in whenever N was even just taking a breath in a different room. Though, and this might come as a disappointment or relief — depending on which side YOU are on — N put a stop to it quite early. Why, you ask? Ok, let me put it like this… Fr was not very subtle in promoting themself — not as a partner directly, but as the type of person that would be wayyy better for MC, while also not stopping talking badly about F. And while N thought it wasn't the place to relentlessly talk shit about F and rather focus on caring for MC, Fr thought differently, ignoring whether this eventually made MC feel worse — or even worthless — as in having fallen for "such an egoistic spoiled brat" (Fr's words). Whether N's or Fr's approach was the right one in the end… we'll see, I guess.

Can you tell us some of what N did for MC post breakup? What are some ways they showed up for and supported their bestie during their crisis?

Also, do you think anything differed in their level of care? like is there a specific reaction they may have had to the breakup privately if they are harboring a secret crush on MC on the romance route?

….let’s start a bit differently with this one, hope that's alright.

N did a lot for MC — directly and behind the scenes. when they first heard about the breakup, they felt physically sick. it was this strange, almost out-of-body moment where so many things crashed together all at once. and no, they were not happy. they were not relieved. not even a little.

the first thing they did was confront the ex. it got… intense. to an extent MC had never seen from N before — and since MC wasn't there, they still don't know to this day exactly what went down in that encounter.

after that, N just tried to be there. in whatever way MC actually needed. whether that was loud, obvious distraction — parties, drinks, getting out of the house — or the quieter moments. the more private ones. movie nights. hours of complete silence. whatever MC needed, often before MC even voiced it.

but being there wasn't only about MC's emotional state. N also made themselves a barrier between MC and the outside world — any pressure, any expectation, anything that could add weight to an already heavy time. that included Kass. N was present for those moments when the step mom came with her own agenda, her own version of how things should look. N couldn't always place her behaviour or fully understand it, but that didn't matter. MC came first. so N stepped in — kept MC at a safe distance, took the brunt of it when needed. there were verbal confrontations between those two. more than one.

as for the level of care — N was more present now, yes. there was room. not to fill it, because that wasn't possible, and it wouldn't have been appropriate either. but just so the emptiness, that hollow space, didn't feel quite so suffocating. at least a little less. N hit a lot of dead ends along the way and started to feel desperate at times, but always looked for another way in. sometimes with better success. sometimes with less.

and as for your last question… harbouring secret feelings? a secret crush? i genuinely have no idea what you're referring to. none whatsoever. moving on.

Damn shame Bianca isn't an RO anymore(?), she was literally the only one that really appealed to me (most of the ROs are way older and I don't like age gaps. I don't want ti be a homewrecker for the distant friend or their partner and I'm not a big fan of enemies/rivals to lovers. And the less said about the ex the better, they prefer it that way after all as Last Moments showed. Did I miss anyone?)

Oh well, hopefully I can still enjoy the story as a single skater
