introduction ! !

hello !! I'm clover, and it's very nice to meet you :] I go by any pronouns, with a preference for it/they ! I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and follow a lot of yandere blogs; i've never done a request/writing tumblr before, so please bear with me for any possible technical difficulties !

about me ! !

i am 19, diagnosed audhd + dyslexic, and love all things strawberry shortcake, rainbow brite, jem and the holograms.. etc etc! i adore 80s girls medias/toys, along with other things of course! i love the concept of yanderes, both platonic and romantic; and have a lot of ideas surrounding them! so i decided to start this blog to put out my ideas for anyone who'd like to read them !!

boundaries ! !

this is a blog mainly based around the concept of yanderes, so i don't have many boundaries regarding gore, violence, kidnapping, drugging, etc etc; but i draw the line at anything that's blatantly NSFW. I won't write smut, as I don't feel comfortable doing so because I myself am sex-neutral asexual and don't find a lot of interest/experience in writing smut. I am willing to write something vaguely suggestive, however!

i will never write anything romantic with a minor involved, all minors featured on this page will be entirely platonic; i also will not write anything incestuous or pseudo-incestuous, any sexual violence (unless past/referenced and not extremely detailed), cheating and/or affairs, or anything that makes me uncomfortable. I will add things to this list as I go, but let it be known that I am allowed to reject a request if I am uncomfortable with anything featured in it, even if it is not included in this list (yet) ! but do not be afraid to ask if i am willing to write something, please! i promise I don't bite :]

AWW TYSM!!! IM SO GLAD I COULD BE OF HELP!! i've always been extremely self indulgent when it comes to writing/drawing, because who is going to produce these things if not me, but i only recently (past year or two) got into actually posting the stuff.

be free!! write to your hearts content, even if you don't think anyone is going to read/like it, you will, and that's what matters :] and there's always at least one other person who'll come along and it'll be exactly what they're looking for.

but i'm really glad you mentioned it!! i lost motivation to post in general a while ago, but this ask made me super happy & motivated!! i never expected for many people, or any really, to be interested in something as self-indulgent as toymaker's madness, lol.

throughout every incarnation of Aldrich, he has always been incredibly possessive. It was actually one of the first personality traits I decided about him, and has stuck with him throughout every rewrite/rework.

he doesn't necessarily view people as objects, or even possessions in the typical sense. but Aldrich is so lonely, that when he finds someone to bring into his realm, he doesn't want to let them go. ever.

even in death, which is why he taxidermies and keeps everyone who ever went through the mansion-- and he doesn't forget them. he never forgets anyone, he'll greet them when he passes. he'll hold conversations with them for lack of any other interaction (other than the little spirit-doll he treats as his daughter).

the name literally refers to his mental state, he's going mad; or has long since lost it entirely. he'll have some moments of lucidity, where he realizes what he is doing is wrong and he should stop,

that all he's managing to do is prolong his own suffering and drag other innocent people to their deaths because of it. but then he gets dragged back under into the delusion that this is all just another trial.

eventually he'll find someone who will stay with him, who can withstand the unnatural energy of the place he is trapped in. Aldrich himself cannot leave, but send his 'minions', little mechanical toys/dolls/creatures imbued with shavings of spirits, out into the real world for short amounts of time. only in order to scout for people to 'join his family', or snatch the people he found worthy.

he is actually based on jack baker a little bit! because i found jack baker to be a very sad and sympathetic character. but Aldrich was, at least at first, fully in control of himself and taking these people to try and appease his own loneliness. By the 3rd or 4th, he knew the illness wasn't just a coincidence.

Aldrich assumed he was cursed, or that God Himself was tormenting the poor man. His moods flip on a dime, he's incredibly mentally unstable in several aspects; he'll never harm his 'family' beyond 'what is necessary' (usually the extent of that is just knocking them out, but on rare occasions it goes further) but often goes from being soft and caring, to angry and demanding, then distraught and literally sobbing.

in the game, there would be missable cutscenes where, if Lisa was hiding in the right spot during a certain point of the game, she'd witness Aldrich come in and have a sort of episode.

talking to himself, cursing God, knocking things over, going from screaming to weeping to eerily calm. all while trying to convince himself that Lisa would be the one to stay, that he wasn't going to lose someone else.

he wasn't always this bad, but hundreds of years and countless deaths and failures and the pervasive loneliness of his existence has whittled him away. Aldrich used to be very sweet, and some of that still remains, but it's spoiled by just how overwhelmingly possessive he is.

even more so with Reader, who was dragged in from an entirely different world so to say. because of this, Reader really is immune (to some degree at least) and that has Aldrich overjoyed. He hates to even have Reader out of his sight at all.

he's afraid if he looks away for one second, he'll lose you. and all his hope of having having company will go with.

it's been so long since i've written in this format, so I apologize if it's all over the place xP but yes! Aldrich is possessive, and is based on Jack Baker so it would similar :]
