frontbaiting my blurry pluralsystem
Fucker rearranged my sp folders oh nooooo
token singlet again!!
the plural allegations are not going away i swear im just being normal and everyone freaked out over the One Time i moved rooms in the hospital during a checkup but dont remember ever moving there and was just suddenly there
ooh hang on i want to get in early have you ever considered reading homestuck
tell ur headmates ur proud of them.
tell your headmates you'll try your best and you appreciate their best.
tell the scary, mean lookin headmate they can always come talk & relax if they wanna, they don't need to always be on high alert.
tell the joyous whimsy-filled headmate that it's okay for them to be upset or down sometimes, too, they're more than just their positivity.
tell the scared, in denial headmate to take their time, and that you'll be here for when they're ready. they don't have to feel guilty.
tell the blurry, distant headmate you still care even if you maybe don't get to talk a lot.
tell yourselves you're proud. okay? ^_^
Btw I drew it to immortalize it because it's something I keep thinking about every other month
the biggest plural problem we ever had was feeling like we HAD to figure out how to be able to talk to eachother to finally be a properly functional system, so much so that we never realised that we weren't listening.
"I wish I could talk to her" / "I'm supposed to be able to talk to her" what if she's listening, when you said that? what if the chat log is still there, when she switches back in? what had she said about you, in the same cadence, to the people you call friends? don't you already know, then, what she wants to say? drop the shackles on your opinions of her, tell your friends freely - she'd like to see them, later.
don't infantilise yourself. you are not a child who needs an adult to make your decisions for you. you are a splendid and magnificent autocrat and you are consulting your trusted advisors. you are exercising great wisdom by inviting an expert to give their opinion before making your ruling. often the path of wisdom is to say "good morning, I'm trying to [perform task] and I have a question about [aspect], can you tell me who I should speak to for advice?" before you do it. sometimes the path of wisdom is to hire a plumber. there are times when you cannot do things for yourself but that doesn't mean you are not an adult. you don't need a grown-up. you need a specialist.
this has come up a couple of times so let me be really really clear:
the path of wisdom is sometimes to hire a plumber.
the path of wisdom is always to hire an electrician.
in front of any person i'm always putting up a performance. that doesn't mean i'm faking it, no. my performance is very automatic to me and feels natural. i can even enjoy myself in it. however it gets bad when after some time i start realizing that this performance is more so taking a toll on my mental well-being rather than is enjoyable. that's all.
