Meet... Dr. Vesper! Hes a scientist and researcher for the red army

BIO: Vesper is a former government scientist now working for the Red Army. His main field of research is reanimating the dead and other supernatural phenomena. Vesper's specialty is cryptids, conspiracies, and other mysteries. He has an ambitious pursuit of knowledge and once he's got his mind set, he has to follow through.

CHILDHOOD: Vesper came from a lower-middle-class family. Although he consistently achieved high marks, he struggled to connect with his peers. For most of his school years, he chose to keep to himself, focusing on his studies rather than trying to fit in... leading to him being a bit of an outcast.
Deciding he needed to push himself, Vesper eventually worked up the courage to talk to Tord Lageson, a classmate he had quietly admired from afar. To his surprise, they clicked almost instantly and bonded over shared interests and a similar sense of humor.
Unfortunately, just as things were starting to look up, Vesper’s world shifted again. His father landed a new job, forcing the family to move out of town. Shortly after moving, Vesper's mental health declined. He isolated himself even further, shutting himself away and shoving himself completely into his studies.

ADULTHOOD: Vesper excelled at the expense of his mental health, eventually getting into a prestigious college. He graduated with honors, landing a high-standing position as a scientist for the government. He despised his work; everything felt so soulless and corporate, and every single day dragged after the next.
Vesper typed away on his keyboard, the ticking of the clock droning in his ears. Suddenly, the door burst open, and his lab was being ransacked. He'd heard about the vigilantes and their attempted takeover, but he never thought it'd affect him. Amongst the chaos he spotted a familiar face; it was Tord, and he appeared to be leading them.
They reconnected, and after Tord heard Vesper's predicament, he offered him a position as a scientist for the Red Army. He was slightly hesitant until he was offered the promise of studying zombies, and that was something he couldn't refuse.
CURRENT DAY: Vesper had been working for the Red Army for a few months now, and he was loving it. This work was far more his speed. The zombies, the monsters, and the paranormal—it was everything he'd wanted.
One day, Tord approached him with a proposition. Tord's "old friends" were starting some commotion once again, and he wanted Vesper to investigate. Vesper was decided to be the most inconspicuous member that Tord trusted enough with this mission.
Vesper readily agreed when he heard one of the group members' conditions... a man who could transform into a monster? That had him hook, line, and sinker.
