There's an eyebrow raised at the sight of the clown. Ah yes, he remembered him now... A traitor in the midsts of the fatui.

He should be lucky he was only in Mondstadt to see his wife.

"...Nikolai, yes?"

It's asked as if he were remembering a name in conversation as if this were a common meeting between acquaintances. With Samael moving past him in order to sit down, resting his chin against his fist before looking at the traitor once more.

"I was visiting family. My wife to be exact, there's no need for my hostility...then again I know I could kill you without lifting a finger, but I could ask you the same thing, what brings you here?"

There's a rush of relief that washes over him, taking another bite of the sticky bun to avoid showing how afraid he actually was of the other and nods. Make no mistake, he was strong... But even he knew what his limits were.

He watches carefully with his eye as the other moves. Brain scrambling to figure out what to do now, he makes a move to turn and face him. Sitting down with him would be too familiar -- maybe even confrontational. Afterall, he was a traitor and Samael could decide to turn at any minute.

"Oooohh~ Your wife! Of course, that makes sense! Mhm!" he nods his head eagerly, wide smile spread across his features.

"Well... Monstadt is famous for its sticky honey roast! But then it turned out I didn't have enough for that and settled with a sticky bun! It's hard to find work... Especially with my past hanging over my head." teeth grit when he spoke the word 'hanging'.

lol I made a big post about leaving and now after several things (not good) have happened, I wanna come back and write Nikolai. ✌🏻 sorry for that, I know it probably causes a lot of confusion or disinterest. I’ll probably make new icons , freshen up his verses and stuff just so it feels fresh

so some quick thoughts;;

i feel in my bones sigma is still alive. he is not dead, i feel like for his death to happen like this would be a waste of character potential. because he does have potential to be so much more. and dazai made a promise.

second thought is this. fyodor's death has left nikolai and sigma lost and without purpose. they were both tied to him, his plans, and so forth. sigma even moreso; since he's been feeling that since fyodor's betrayal im sure.

so what to do with these two lost stray dogs lmao

idk, staring at my ada verse for nikolai makes me so giddy
