okay i might just be the woke police but i think genuinely saying someone should kill themselves over anything is at least wildly inappropriate and at most legitimately harmful and endangering and we shouldnt normalize it

I miss when the internet agreed that people clearly suffering from some affliction (be it depression or anger management or psychosis or intrusive thoughts or any varient of demonized mental disorder) deserve therapy and to be cared and treated for. Now i see people looking at those who CLEARLY have some level of trauma and telling them they should kill themselves because they have a bad coping mechanism like where did the empathy go why did we stop thinking about how people feel

#I've been on the Internet for like 18 years and there's a very noticeable uptick in people telling others to off themselves -#when they say something others don't like for some reason in the last few years; it's concerning and upsetting #we need to encourage others to seek more acceptable coping mechanisms and the therapy they need; not to make their mental state worse #it ain't hard being decent to others at all but some people sure seem to act like it's the most difficult thing in the world :-(
