he’s wandered into the shop by pure accident, following the surge of people that push his body through the door and urge him to stand in line if he wants any. well, he didn’t at first but after stealing a few glances at the plates on tables and hearing what it is that the person in front of him orders, he’s more than interested now.
“ Gee, you’re definitely hiding a monster inside that little body of yours if you’re gonna be eating that by yourself. ” — he laughs goodnaturedly, hand set at his hip while the other props against the counter as he squints at the tiny lettering of the menu. “ But having a meal all by your lonesome is boring. a monster, huh? well that’s definitely not too far off, but allen decides to leave that topic unopened. “hey! i’m not little!” he pouts-- one of the few things to really get under his skin and the guy says it in his first sentence.
“friends...? no, it’s... all for me.” hm. allen just now realizes his lack of friends in the city. sure, he didn’t have many back home either, but it’s a little embarrassing when asked about it upfront like this. the boy is silent for a few moments before speaking up again, “if eating alone is so boring, why are you here all by yourself? could you not convince anyone to come with you?” harsh, maybe, but he did call him tiny, so...
