What did smilk mean in that one post where they said "i do want to do it,i just want to be me" and why did pure vanilla avoid it??

maybe ill take this time to explain my comic a little!! the comic was a oneshot attempt at angst, im not good at writting sad stuff there wont be any continuation what he meant was, if he could be his normal himself while theyre intimate and not shapeshift why pure vanilla avoided that, is because he wasnt comfortable to be that close to shadow milk yet, but still wanted to love him, just not 'him' ( still traumatized from when he was truthless recluse ) hes somewhat terrified of his face they won't force anything onto each other, they're just having a hard time being vulnerable, i will never write something like that they both care a lot for each other, they just cant communicate!!!!! the poor things!!!!!!!!!!!! i also did not mean that shadow milk shapeshifted into any character that we know, so NO he did not shapeshift into white lily, despite how a few thought so he could shapeshift into his other looks, or pure vanilla's request- something completely different it was inspired by rebecca sugar's sadie x amethyst art, a few people caught onto that! bravo!!! but i hope this explanation helps anyone understand it better
