i used to have an iceland tag on this blog, and i want teenage me to know that i am still alive and i recently spent 14 days driving around iceland with a dear friend. it was an amazing trip, and i am still in awe of the beauty of this place. we were blessed with beautiful weather for camping and lots of legally purchased beer
i just went back through the tag, and now i can say i’ve been to most of the places i used to look at pictures of. i never thought i would actually go there.
i am still very depressed, and right now i’m going through a particularly rough patch. but i am very glad i stayed alive and got to see the beauty of this part of the world, and this is a reminder to my current self that there are still places i want to see and people i want to meet. i hope that in 5 years i’ll look back and think “i’m glad i didn’t kill myself when i was twenty”
